I generally like my books to have more romance than adventure but I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed reading this book. I liked Peyton and Justin together:
"We're in a relationship?" The question forces me to raise my eyebrows.
"I don't usually send that many roses to girls I'm not involved with."
Justin can be a con artist but he's always truthful about his feelings, "no, Peyton, I was real. The situation we were in was under false pretenses, but all that I showed you was me. Those were my likes and dislikes. A few details were smudged. You fell for me, and now you're falling for him." It's totally obvious the boy has some jealous issues. I can't wait to see where this series takes and this is the first book by Xavier that I've read that didn't have sex so it's safe for YA readers to well read.
