Cinderella Undone by Nicole Snow

Knox sure is one pushy man, “glad you came to your senses. I'll be by later to pick you up. Got to move you in quick if we're going to pull this off.” Knox has an attitude problem, “there are six guest rooms. Turn them all into Leonardo's effing workshop for all I care,” I growl..." I liked this book, Knox was a complete arse at first, like I wanted to kick him in the nuts kind of arse, and then he all of a sudden changes that it gace me whiplash.

The woman I spent one insane, incredible night with. But now I’m screwed. Or rather…not screwed.   Because the woman I can’t get out of my head is the one woman I can never touch again. I’m Dr. Cruz Delgado—the youngest professor on this campus, And Penelope Carstairs just walked into my class.

EXCERPT
“Oh God, don’t do that.” “Do what?” That.” He pointed toward my mouth. “Everything I told you in Vegas is still true. You’re still gorgeous, still sexy as hell, still everything that draws me in like a damned magnet, but you’re also everything I can’t have. Don’t you get that? When you pull shit like that on the dance floor, you successfully drive me batshit crazy, watching you in some guy’s arms.” A small laugh escaped him. “Like that kid has any idea what to do with you if he actually managed to catch you.” “And you do?” His eyes darkened. “Don’t challenge me like that.” The tension stretched between us for a quiet moment until I broke the silence. “I didn’t kiss him.” “I’m well aware, because if you had, I’m not sure if I could have let him walk out of here, and that’s dangerous, Penelope. You are dangerous to me.” “I’m sorry,” I said truthfully. “Logically, I know nothing can happen between us. I get it. But I see you, and all I can think about is the way you kissed me in Vegas. The way you touched me. I can’t just erase those memories, Cruz. Like I said, somehow you make me do stupid things.” “You? I make you do stupid things?” he nearly yelled, and I was thankful for the loud, driving beat of the music beyond the office doors. “Woman, I got into a strange car for you. Illegally BASE jumped off a Ferris wheel to stay close to you. Went to jail for you, and I make you do stupid things?” He stalked forward, his movements smooth like a predator, and a low hum filled my stomach, growing stronger with every step he took. “I let you stay in my class. Stupid. I look for every reason to run into you, while simultaneously praying you’ll stay far away because I need this job. Stupid. I take one look at you in that fucking dress, and I’m so hard I’m afraid I can’t hide it in a room full of students. Stupid. I can’t stop thinking about the way you taste, the way you open up under me, the way your nails left little half-moons in my shoulders when I found how wet you were for me.” If he got his hands anywhere near me, he’d find out I was just as wet now. God, his words were the biggest turn-on I’d ever experienced. Next to his abs. Or his arms. Or his mouth. Crap, the man was one giant sex package begging to be unwrapped. “Cruz,” I whispered as he cupped my face with one hand, his thumb rubbing over my lower lip, while he caged me against the desk with the other. My tongue licked across the tip of his finger, unable to help myself. “God, Penelope. You could cost me everything, and yet I’m still in here with you. And this might be the worst choice of all.” His mouth met mine in a kiss that sent my senses reeling. His tongue swept in, claiming every curve he might have missed last time, until it felt like my mouth belonged to him.

Heat by Erin McCarthy

Nothing like ending the day with being knocked off your rocker, with Miranda, Alejandro never knows what's going to hit him, "...for a second, I couldn’t even process what Miranda had said. Then the shock had me saying, “What the eff did you just say?” Alejandro is very cocky, and sure of himself, "he gave a low laugh. “My invitation was you coming for me twice.” Alejandro is always finding new things out about his woman, “can you believe this?” Alejandro asked Wester. “She’s hot and carrying. Should I be worried?” I liked this book, I loved Alejandro.

The Bride Who Got Lucky by Janna MacGregor

Nick's compliments are unique, "his lips followed a path from her throat to her ear. “All I’ve thought about yesterday and today was you . You’re like an itch that’s never satisfied. I may never let you go.” Emma sometimes has to keep her man on track, “stop.” Her cheeks heated with his words. “You’re going to start something, and we need to go in soon.” I liked this book, Nick had his hands full with Emma.

A SEAL's Strength by JM Stewart

Gabe's girl is real good on his ego, “I told you. I don’t like the thought of you being hurt, but having half a leg doesn’t make you any less of a man.” Steph never has to fear of Gabe straying the man knows who he belongs to, "he chuckled and nipped at her bottom lip. “Yes, but I’m your caveman.” This was a good read, I just wished Gabe and Steph would have included his daughter in more things.

Pitch Perfect by Cari Quinn & Taryn Elliott

Both Ethan and Luc like to make sure it's good for their girl and are both so tender with her, "then Ethan pulled out and she whimpered, biting down on Luc’s jaw. “Easy,” he muttered to Ethan, who rubbed her spine in apology." Molly is not a bashful girl, “I’ll still eat it.” She pressed a hand to her stomach. “Effing works up an appetite.” I truly loved Ethan's parents they were so accepting, “you’re so beautiful too. Where did he find you two? I know this is California, but really, wow.” She eased back and fanned herself while again sneaking a glance at Luc. “I’m impressed, son. Very impressed.” I liked this book, I loved Luc and Ethan.

RELEASE DAY REVIEW: Dr. NEUROtic by Max Monroe

Blurb:
I’m Dr. Nick Raines.
Brain surgeon and notorious over-thinker, I take the analytical approach with everything, until I can determine the best, carefully calculated plan of action. It’s no shock the producers of the popular reality series The Doctor Is In have decided to call me Dr. Neurotic.
Besides my more than full-time job as Chief of Neurosurgery at St. Luke’s Hospital, I’m a single dad and my number one priority is my daughter.
But life had plans to add another priority to my list.
Charlotte Hollis. Outspoken, impulsive, and beautiful, she’s everything I didn’t know I was craving.
She makes me wonder What if?
What if I don’t have to be alone for the rest of my life to give my little girl the father she deserves?
It's a battle—my battle: Head vs. Heart.

REVIEW:
Nick is one caring man, “Jesus Christ,” I whispered, rushing inside and taking her back with me until the sound of the door slamming rang out behind me. “What happened, baby? Are you okay?” She bit her lip, and her crying renewed, two fresh tears cutting edgy tracks down her tortured skin. “Sweet Jesus, Char. Calm down. Tell me what I can do. Are you just sick?” I liked this book, I loved Nick. Thhis was such a fun read.

Even the gods cannot betray the will of the stars. It’s been a hundred years since she’s warmed my bed, a hundred years spent waiting for her. Now we’ll compete again in a game that matters little to me. But my prize is far greater than a token to be paid for a favor — I want her. And for the first time in a very long time, I have the chance to keep her. Because now the ground has shifted, tilted in my favor, and with her footing unsteady, she will fall. I will catch her. This time, I won’t let go.

Excerpt:

ARES
The city stretched up like quartz against the fading sunlight, the colors of the sky deepening with every second that slipped by. Ares’s eyes were on the horizon, slashed with the darkening skyscrapers at the southern tip of Manhattan, but his mind was a thousand years behind him, and her face filled the space in between. They were Mars and Venus. Man and woman. Ares and Aphrodite. The bond between them was unbreakable, undeniable, no matter how she had tried to reject it, tried to stay away. She’d never quite succeeded. She never would. Even the gods could not betray the will of the stars. It had been a hundred years since she warmed his bed, a hundred years of waiting for her. Now they would compete again in a game that mattered little to him. His prize was far greater than a token to be paid for a favor — he wanted her. And for the first time in a very long time, he had a chance to keep her. Adonis had been in the way far too long — even murdering the human hadn’t removed him from the equation — but now the ground had shifted, tilted in Ares’s favor, and with Aphrodite’s footing unsteady, she would fall. He would catch her. This time, he wouldn’t let go. Ares had already chosen his human player, and soon he would make his way down to the throng of gods who waited for the game to begin. She would be there. She would make her choice, and the fire between them would ignite as it always did — first with a spark, then a flicker. Then, she would be consumed, and so would he. It would be the same as it ever was, and he was so starved for her, his body tensed from head to heart to heel in anticipation of what was to come. From a hundred years down to a few days, the distance traveled worth every second of longing, and with every moment that passed, the stars moved closer to alignment and to his favor. And there was nothing she could do to fight it. He’d see to that. fb-now-live-1

About the Author

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey. From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she's not writing, she's reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics. AuthorPics

THE WILL SOARING

EXCERPT: Present day… I took in the mess of the large, circular room we were in and at first saw nothing but the mess—decaying furniture, a soot-covered stone fireplace, a kitchen that might have been put in in the forties but had not only not been touched the last nine years, it perhaps had not been touched the last nineteen (or more). Then I saw more. The extraordinarily carved railing to the sweeping wood staircase that ran the curved side of the house. The red brick walls. The plank wood floors. “Once upon a time, long ago,” the realtor was suddenly talking wistfully, “someone loved this place. Put that love into building it. Put that love into keeping it. Nine years and more when no one really gave a whit, and still you can see it once had a lot of love.” Oh yes. You could see that. “It’s got a basement, more like a big crawl space,” the agent declared, surprising me with his quick change in tone back to businesslike and informative. “The furnace is down there. You can get down there through a door in the floor. The furnace was put in a while back, and full disclosure, though an inspection will catch it, it probably needs to be replaced.” Through his words I stared at the fireplace, which scoured would be magnificent, and I noticed it didn’t have a chimney as such, but the smoke probably went out a vent in the wall. “This floor has a powder room under the stairs,” the realtor kept on. “You can look at it if you want, but if you wanna save yourself that, I’ll just tell you straight, it needs to be gutted.” I decided to take his word for it and told him that. He looked relieved when I did before he stated, “Place has a garage, two car. Not in good condition, but think you saw that. Still, it’s close to the house and there’s a covered walkway to that door over there.” He pointed at a door that was across from the door we’d walked in. “Means you might feel a chill but you won’t get wet, unless it’s raining sideways, which happens.” With a breeze that plastered my jacket to me on a sunny, early spring day, I did not doubt that. “Garage has a loft space above it, which could be renovated as a studio rental if you’ve a mind to do that sort of thing. As for the property itself, it also has a building where the generators are stowed,” the realtor carried on. “Hook up for a washer and dryer and good space in there. Lots of it for storage. Which is good because there’s not a lot of storage in here for tools and Christmas decorations and whatnot.” I glanced around seeing he was right. There wasn’t even enough cabinetry to house the things a decent cook would need in her kitchen. Though there was room for them. In fact, if you fought back the gloom, there was quite a bit of room. “And there’s a place outside, could call it a studio, could call it a mother-in-law house,” he shared. “Whatever, it’s got goodly space, two bedrooms, big kitchen. Could be renovated to be a guest house. Or like I said, a studio if you’re artsy. Or you could rent it out like a B and B. I’ll show you all of that after we have a look at the lighthouse.” “Thanks,” I replied. “Now, since I mentioned full disclosure, you have to know it all,” the realtor continued. Slowly, my eyes went to him. When they did, he launched in. “Like I said, it’s automated. And like I said, you won’t really have to concern yourself with the functionality of that unless the electricity goes out, but then the generators automatically kick in. There are two. But you’ll need to keep fuel on hand to keep them going in case a blackout lasts awhile. And just to say, this is coastal Maine. We get weather. Blackouts can last awhile.” When I nodded to share I took that in, he kept going. “And if you’re, say, away on vacation, you need to make sure someone is playing backup in such a case.” “Okay,” I replied when he stopped talking, thinking this probably wasn’t a good thing since I knew no one in Maine (or not anyone who wanted to know me) and thus couldn’t call on anyone to do something like that. I also didn’t hold high hopes I’d make friends and win people. I hadn’t had a lot of success in that in my life. And last, although Patrick believed it completely, I held no hope that the reason I was out there was going to come to fruition. That being me having a happy ending. That being what Patrick thought would be my happy ending. Which might mean I’d have someone, a certain someone, or actually two (at least), even though I knew I never would.I

About Kristen Ashley: Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA and nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorize and she hadn't taken her first breath!). Her mother said they took Kristen away, put her Mom back in her room, her mother looked out the window, and Gary was on fire (Dr. King had been assassinated four days before). Kristen's Mom remembered thinking it was the end of the world. Quite the dramatic beginning. Nothing's changed. Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana and has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus, she's blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her family was (is) loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write. They all lived together on a very small farm in a small farm town in the heartland. She grew up with Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched). Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up. And as she keeps growing, it keeps getting better.

Rebel by Rebecca Yarros

Cruz sometimes has good intentions like setting boundaries that probably won't stick, “you stay over there. I’ll stay over here,” I said. She simply arched an eyebrow at me. I swallowed. “I’m your teacher. You are my student.” There are times Cruz thinks he's stepped into an alternate universe, "holy * ***, it was like I was back in college, except I’d gone to college through night classes and online courses while I was in the military full-time, so I’d never had this level of drama to contend with." I really liked this book, I loved it when Cruz lost his temper to me those were the entertaining parts.

Smart Tass by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff

Tass can be a gullible girl, “well, you’re obviously obsessed with my ***k, and I have nothing to hide, so here it is.” I can’t help but peek, but his ****s is still in his pants. “Come on. You really think I’d show it to you?” He scoffs." I loved this book, I loved how Hunter and Tass would challenge each other, like all the time.

Game On by Victoria Denault

Alex can be a sensitive man, "he puts the shirt back on the rack and turns to me, his face serious. “No man wants to be compared to a puppy. ‘Cute’ is not a compliment.” Alex isn't afraid to ask for more, “pretty cool,” I laugh. Brie walks over and gives me a kiss on the cheek. “It was a goal, not an assist. It deserves more than a kiss on the cheek.” Brie grins and rocks up and kisses me gently on the lips." I liked this book, Alex and Brie were good for each other.

The man’s a saint.

Not only did Jason hire me for the greatest project I’ve ever run point on, but he also let me move into an amazing loft in his building as an extravagant job-relocation perk. Sure, he can be a grouch when I accidentally wake him up to go over the project, but he’s still a saint nevertheless.

Grigori by Lauren Smith

Grigori is one bossy man, "despite his frustration with his brother, Grigori didn’t stop smiling. “I don’t know, I can’t seem to stop it. But she’s mine. Do you understand? You’re not to touch her. Are we clear?” Dragons are not bashful beings, "Rurik suddenly smiled. “I’m not going anywhere, but you should know, you’re both still naked.”Grigori didn’t so much as bat an eyelash, but he stepped in front of Madelyn, blocking her from Rurik’s view." I liked this book, I can't wait for the next in the series.

Romancing the Rival by Kris Fletcher

Spence knows when to take a hint, and give some action, “and other— oh, God— horizontal surfaces.” Which was the last complete sentence she managed for the rest of the evening." Thhis was an okay read, some parts were better than others and some just seemed to drag on forever.

Shocking the Medic by Elizabeth Otto

Luke sure is one smooth man, “food.” He tried to recover. “You’re coming to dinner with me.” Greer sure knows how to surprise Luke, "his ***k twitched and pressed uncomfortably against his jeans. “You haven’t been wearing any this entire time?” I liked this book, I found Luke to be sexy.

Lust in Translation by Jenna Bayley-Burke

Xavier tries to be a persuasive man, "his brows knit together. “It’s for me, not public viewing. I want something to look at while I talk you into phone ***.” He gave a you-know-you-want-to grin and reached for her hand." Xavier likes to give his girl high praise:
“I’m so proud of me right now.” Jaime collected her bra and slipped it into place.
“I’m quite pleased with you too.” He pulled up his shorts and picked up his shirt and hers and walked to her, glad his body had started to work again.
I liked this book, I loved Xavier.

Temptation and Treachery by Sahara Roberts

Rio is a man who speaks his mind, “I’d give anything to eff you right now,” he rasped. “Hard.” And she thought she was wet before. “But we’d shatter this hollow wall before we were through.” I liked this book, Rio was a rough man, but when it came to his woman he was a softie.

The Best Man's Proposal by Wynter Daniel

Grant knows how to wow a woman and leave her speechless, “I need my fix of you more than anything.” He lifted her off her feet and gave her a proper kiss. When he finally set her on her feet, her lips were red, and she wore a dazed expression." I liked this book, I fell in love with Grant.

Well now isn't Paris cocky, “a man can tell these things.” When Paris is on a mission the man hates to be disturbed, "bent on its harsh intrusion, the phone continued to ring. Paris growled. “If that thing doesn’t stop, I shall tear it from the wall and throw it through the window.” This was an okay read I don't understand why Paris was always so secretive.

No Time to Explain by Kate Angell

Joe is just so cocky, “yeah, you do.” He was so self-assured. “You expected me to kiss you within the first ten minutes. Give it time, babe. Anticipation. Sexual psych.” There are times I think Stevie just wants to secretly ogle her man, “That’s the only way you’ll get one.” He jumped off the bed. Stalked her. Nude, semi-erect, and hungry-eyed. He evaluated the cupcakes, gave each his full attention..." I really liked this book, I loved Joe.

Matt sure can move fast when he really wants something, “we have to get to my place before I yank up your skirt and eff you in this parking lot.” Kelsey nodded and adjusted her dress before climbing inside the car. I sprinted around the hood after shutting her door and leaped into the driver’s seat..." Kelsey can put Matt in his place, “I may have enjoyed before, the rough play.” She nodded at the couch. “But I do respect myself and you won’t talk to me like that. I don’t care who you are.” I liked this book, I loved Matt.

Finn can be a little antsy at times, “let’s go.” He grabbed on to her waist, spinning her around and lightly smacking her on the ass. “Before I eff you on the stairs.” Finn sometimes can't believe he has a good thing with his girl, “I’m torn between saying I just write a check and we stay in tonight, and wanting everyone in this whole damn town to see you on my arm.” I loved this book, I loved Finn.

Holiday House Call by Jen Doyle

Tuck holds nothing back, "...stared down at her. “Do you know how many times I’ve jacked myself off to the memory of how hot you are when you come?” I liked this book, it was cute. Tuck was one persistent man when it came to Karen.

Back in the Game by Erin Kern

Brandon is always finding ways and excuses to argue with Stella, "his pupils filled his coffee-colored eyes. “Didn’t say I had a problem with it. But you slap a pair of spandex on legs like that, and men will take notice.” Brandon is always willing to give his girl some new experiences, “now that we’ve got that straight.” He started walking with her hanging on to him. “Let’s go find a tree I can back you up against.” I really enjoyed this book, I loved the relationship Brandon and his son had.

Dirty Disaster by Addison Moore

Ax will take what he can get from Lex, even though it's not rainbows and unicorns, “excellent. I’ll find a way to bribe the doorman and knife your balls off while you sleep.” My ***k twitches with the threat as if something about it had the power to turn it on. H***, it did. Just the thought of Lex crawling into bed with me to do anything with my balls makes me happy." Lex gives some interesting compliments, "...has adhered to a prison-worthy workout. Nice abs, Collins.” Her eyes flit down to my crotch for a moment. “And it looks as if your man parts finally caught up with your ego.” I loved this book, Ax was sexy and Lex was feisty.
