For a book that is so pricey it was kind of a let down. I did appreciate some points in the book, but as an overall read it was seriously kind of a let down. I loved how Victoria could stand up to her parents, "I said no. She's not my daughter. Why don't you deal with her for once? Who handled all this when I was at school, anyway? Or didn't they give you directions for parenting your addict kid in the Ashford-Hutchinson Academy handbook?" Mickey, I thought it was really cute that he honestly didn't know how to speak to girls, Victoria being the main one. He gets all flustered and well nothing comes out of his mouth correctly, "tomorrow's Friday. Skip school. Your face is going to get worse before it gets better," he said grimly. I made a sound - of denial or protest, I didn't know which - and he glanced over at me. "I'm sorry. Hell, I'm not good at words of comfort, am I? It's the truth, though. I've been on the receiving end of a fist often enough to know that you're likely going to have a black eye from this." It was an okay read, and for the price it was a little disappointing.
