I'm finding myself loving highlander books every time I read a different one. I loved Paisley's granny, "I'm here, sweet pea. What happened? Bryce said you passed out." She glared at Creighton. "What did you do to her to make her faint, you big, overgrown galoot?" I also loved Creighton's double meaning of things, the boy wastes no time, "he stepped closer, so their thighs touched, and her lips parted on a sigh. "I would never hurt anything that belongs to me." With a fingertip, he brushed back a strand of Paisley's golden hair. "Or anyone who's entrusted their heart in me care." The boy can be such a sweet romantic when he wants to be, "he wrapped his arms around her waist and leaned in to whisper, "I'm thinking it would merely be a love tap." He bestowed a kiss on her neck, below her ear, and he insides quivered. "Besides, me head is wondrously hard, just ask me mum." There was one scene I died laughing at:
Oh, man the man had lovely, curving pecs, sprinkled with dark hair. "You're in my bed, naked, with a hard-on."
He smiled against her neck. "Yeah, got a great Highland woodie."
I'm hoping the other brothers get a story.
Thanks so much for your kind remarks. That Granny is a pistol, isn't she? Book two is Bryce, with the little girl, and Kenzie's romance. I've got it written and am going over it one last time to take out the junk and deepen the emotion. It will be called A HIGHLANDER'S PASSION. I hope you'll enjoy it too.
