Emerald by Kasey Millstead

Travis he had me at his first bossy command, "I sense Travis come up behind me before he talks. "Come to dinner with me tonight?" He's bossy reminds me of Kristen Ashley's men (Love all of them!) "Wasn't an offer. I'm taking you home. This way." He makes bossy look really cute though, "Babe, you better be here. I find people for a livin' and if I gotta come find you, it won't make me happy." Jemma's gay friend Tom is the s***, "dramatic?" Tom screeches. Do not be calling me dramatic. She's never been on a date. her first date is going to be with a hot bada** motherf***** named Travis. She doesn't call to give me the details, like how he asked her, why she said 'yes' when she told me the last time he asked her she said 'no' what made her change her mind. Yeesh!" Travis is protective, "do I look like a man who's going to let anything hurt you? Do I look like a man that would put my woman in danger?" I mean REALLY protective, "look, your mine now, Jemma. I take care of what's mine. That means I'll be takin' care 'a you. Your father is a weak piece of effin' s*** and I can assure you I'm in no danger. Now, neither are you." I really liked this book probably because it really does remind me of Kristen's books.
