BLOG TOUR REVIEW: Curse of the Beast & Star Cursed by Ashley Lavering

First up is the review for "Curse of the Beast."
I had some strong feelings in this book, first was how much hatred I had for Kyle (think's he's all that and a bag of chips.) "I'm not going to look like an idiot in front of the guys. You will stay." His eyes flashed dangerously as he pulled me toward the building. In that moment, I saw Kyle clearly. I'd let his flattery blind me to the control he held over people, dominating everyone into submission. Stupid! How could I be so desperate?" I automatically fell in love with Beast, and his humor. "No need to worry ma'am. I may be a wolf, but mama raised a gentleman." I really did enjoy this book although I kept thinking that there were more (3 girls to be exact) before her, I kept thinking will there not be a happy ending for Beast and Tay. The cliffhanger killed me, and I'm ready for the second book in the series, and my favorite scene from this book has to be when Beast finally takes her home and he tells her he has more rules:
"You need to know the rules," he said firmly.
My mood instantly turned sour. "Good. More rules. As if the whole I'm-bound-to-you issue isn't restrictive enough," I grumbled.
I truly can't wait for the second book!

So Beast and Tayla have a kinda great relationship with each I think they're playful toward one another:
"Aren't you going to apologize for waking me up?" He winked, clearly enjoying my growing agitation.
"No." I folded my arms like a pouting child. I was so not saying sorry - not with him grinning like that.
"Then it's a good think I didn't mind." His silver-streaked eyes danced with a hidden flame that made my knees weak.
Beast is still the ever protective one, or maybe possessive, "I won't let him touch you again, Tayla." A threat resonated through his growled words, and I felt the truth of it through the bond." But that is totally okay because Tayla has some possessiveness of her own when it comes to our darling Beast, "She touched you." My wolf and I growled through clenched teeth. "No one touches you but me!"  Beast is also the ever so romantic one, and it makes me love him so much more, "I want you, and I want you to want me, not because your wolf calls to mine, but because you want me." He freed a hand to trace my lips with his fingertips. "I love you, Tayla Jonas." Do they get their happily ever after, Heck I'm not ruining it for you so buy the book and find out!
