Ughh this book was ughh (no this ughh is not a bad ughh is a frustrated ughh.) Okay where to begin...how about the humor in a not so funny situation, like this one between Ivy and Eric:
"The blade cute through your bra. The strap is cut three-quarters of the way through."
I laughed. "I was slashed with a deadly weapon and you're blushing over the back of my bra strap? Seriously, Eric?"
I was truly frustrated with this book (FYI just because I was frustrated doesn't mean I didn't love the book) Now on to the frustrations, One: I'm thinking Collin may have some competition for Ivy with Eric.
His Voice was a whisper, "why didn't you bind me?"
"You were a warrior," I said softly. "Warriors shouldn't be bound."
"I am a warrior. From the time I woke up, I fought. I've tracked you, following the scent of your blood that is supposed to help a Valefar find their maker when they're called. I used it to track you. I killed the creatures that wanted you. You're mine, I told them. You're mine..."
Frustration two that brought tears to my eyes and had me thinking why the hell can't Ivy ever find happiness?:
"I didn't want to do this. Collin saved me. He loved me. But that boy wasn't Collin anymore. Kreturus stole him from me, and in a cruel, twist of fate I'd have to kill the only boy I've ever loved."
Sucks right! Frustration three THE DAMN CLIFFHANGER!!!!!!!!!! Although Ivy finds herself being courageous I truly like "Demon Kissed" more probably because she was with Collin, and there was smoochies not so much smoochies in this book.
