Declan is often times left dumbfounded, "what the **ll just happened? Declan shook his head, still dazed, and watched Paige’s silhouette disappear into the shadows." Declan is often times clumsy when receiving some surprising news, "Declan whipped his head around— and lost his grip on a sudsy dish. It shattered to the ground with a crash. Paige had moved to town . . . permanently?" Declan tries to do the right thing, "He found Paige bent double over a pile of boxes, wearing a pair of cut-off shorts and a tank top that hugged sweaty to her curves.
