Straight, No Chaser by Shelli Stevens

Hailey sometimes has to change her terminology for Colin:
“When one of us wants to get laid?”
He cringed. “I hate that term.”
“Hmm. Let me try again. When one of us has the urge to fornicate like cute, fluffy bunnies?” she teased.
Colin does not paint a pretty picture when the man is worried, "he looked p***** when he finally came to a stop, towering above her. “Perhaps you could explain why you haven’t answered your bloody phone?” I realy like this series, I am in love with this family, they have so much love for each other.

Reed by Sawyer Bennett

Reed is just full of himself, “you’re totally hot and you know it,” he smirks. “Just like you think I’m hot. Nothing wrong with two hot friends hanging out, right?” Reed likes to add on to his woman's suggestions, “and bed,” he adds with a wink." I loved Reed, he was light-hearted, fun loving and he had a great temperment when he wasn't jealous. Let me tell you what though I am eager for Marek's book, I can't wait to see how his plays out.

REVIEW:
Green is one of those people whose personalities is loud, like he's not loud himself, but his personality is, am I making any sense? Anyway the point is I loved the man, "his smirk is gorgeous. “Yeah.” He steps back slightly. “Leah , had my taste again after a long drought, I’m gonna want it again.” I loved this book, Green was so sweet, and attentive.

About ESCAPE:

Everything inside of him is screaming that he needs to run, he needs to go, he needs to escape.

Lane Warner is used to being overshadowed and overlooked.

After all, he’s the youngest brother and the most laid back one in the family. He’s the one known for going with the flow and not making waves, even when things seem to be at their worst.
Very few things in life have had the ability to rile Lane up and get under his skin. At the top of that list is his childhood friend Brynn Fox…no…Brynn Warner. The fact that they share a last name was the one thing that has the power to light him up and spin him out of control like no other. There was no calm, cool and collected when it comes to all the reasons why Brynn had to become part of his family.
It’s slowly killing him to keep wanting what he can’t have, so Lane sees only one way to stop himself from doing something they’ll both regret…he has to leave. Everything inside of her is calling out to find him, to follow, to bring him home.
Brynn Warner is used to being stuck between a rock and a hard place.
After all, she’s the daughter of an unrepentant gold-digger who never once blinked at being the cause of her daughter’s pain and suffering.
Very few things in her life have ever brought happiness and a sense of security. At the very top of that list is Lane Warner. She has unwaveringly loved the youngest Warner since the first minute she laid eyes on him. He was everything Brynn ever wanted and everything she knew she could never have.
Sometimes the right choice is the one that hurts the most and Brynn’s had to make a few that felt like they might be the end of her. When Lane takes off, one thing is clear, the only choice Brynn has is to go after him.

She’s going to bring her wayward cowboy home….whatever it takes.

Escape is a standalone novel, the third book in the Getaway series, which features the hardheaded and brokenhearted Warner brothers and the women who dare to love them. These boys are very good at putting the wild in wilderness.

REVIEW BLITZ: The Upside to Being Single by Emma Hart

If anyone asks, I knew better than to flash my boobs for Mardi Gras beads.

I still don’t know why I did it. Maybe it was the dare from my two best friends. Maybe it was the guys on the balcony saying they’d throw Fireball shots with the beads. Or maybe it was the quiet guy in the corner of that same balcony with piercing gray eyes, wavy dark hair, and a smile so tempting I wanted to climb up there and lick it off his face. Maybe it was because I never thought I’d see them again. Not that it matters. Not today. Because the hotel I manage was finally bought—and the guy who walks in and introduces himself as my new boss is Mr. Tall, Dark, and Silent. There are many upsides to being single. Your new boss knowing what your boobs look like? Not one of them.

REVIEW:
I loved Jake, the man got to the point, “is it normal to have seen more breasts in one weekend than I have in my entire life?” Jake is just nonchalant about things, "without removing his attention from the magazine, he pointed to the floor next to him. “Your bra is right here on top of the clothes you wore yesterday.” Jake sure knows how to woo a girl, “skip the cooking and go straight to effing, Mellie.” I loved this book, Mellie was such a klutz and her and Jake just went together like peanut butter and jelly.

Chloe grimaced, turning around to face me. “Does he show up randomly at your house?” I jumped out of my chair. “Shut up! No!” She pointed at the door. “There’s a hot guy who just pulled up in an Audi unexpectedly with dark hair, who wears a white shirt the way hookers wear thongs, and has an ass like a giant, ripe peach.” Three loud knocks sounded at my door. “Oh God!” I moaned, clutching at my stomach. “I have to hide. Can you stall him?” Peyton grinned. A shit-eating warning grin. “Actually, no, never mind,” I whispered harshly. “Peyton, you go out the back, I’ll hide, and Chloe can get rid of him!” Peyt shook her head. “Not a chance. Who is it?” she added, shouting the last three words. I clapped my hands over my mouth. Not only was this not a good time because I was still freaking out over the kissing, but we’d not long finished a yoga DVD and I was still sweaty and gross. Not to mention I was pretty sure I’d pulled a muscle. And the powder. I was covered in donut sugar, okay? “Uh… It’s Jake,” came the reply through the door. Peyt waggled her eyebrows. “Jake, eh?” I glared at her then stuck my middle finger up in her direction. “I hate you.” The door hinges creaked, and the next thing I knew, Chloe was standing in the door frame. “Hi!” she said in an upbeat tone. “I’m Chloe.” She shoved her hand at him. “Jake,” he replied slowly, taking her hand. “Is Mellie here?” “She’s here, but she might be hiding.” Peyton burst out laughing. My cheeks flamed red, and I stormed across the room and tugged her away from the door. “Hi. Excuse her. She didn’t take her meds this morning,” I said. Chloe poked my cheek. “Hello, Mommy. Did you bring me my cookies?” Peyton, still laughing, stood up. “Okay, Chlo, drop it. Let’s go. We have work to do.” I spun around as she slipped her laptop into her purse. “And you need to leave to do that? You literally just showed us a penis photo.” “Your house doesn’t have the right Feng Shui.” “You’ve never looked up Feng Shui!” She pointed a finger in my direction. “You don’t know my life!” Jake blinked between the three of us. Chloe grabbed hold of her purse and then Peyton’s arm. “We’re going. Call us later, okay?” Jake moved out of the way while Chloe dragged Peyton out of my house. “And don’t forget to put your foot down on the kissing thing!” Peyton shouted, eyes sparkling. The last I saw of her was a large, mischievous grin right before Jake shoved the door shut on her.

Joanna's Highlander by Maeve Greyson

Grant is very vested in wooing his woman, “a MacDara always puts his lady first and ensures she’s well pleased.” He proffered his hand toward the porch and smiled. “After you, m’lady.” Grant's mama is a fierce woman, "...she poked Grant with her elbow and gave him a serious scowl. “Don’t screw this up, boy.” Grant knows how to admit to his faults, “ye’ll find I’m a verra selfish man, Joanna, and I’ll ne’er share ye with anyone or anything.” I really liked this book, I am loving this series.

My Royal Temptation by Riley Pine

Nikolai is sometimes shocked at his girl, the man never knows what's going to come out of her mouth, “pardon?” My own eyes widen. “How I like getting sucked off?” She wants a lesson?" Nikolai always puts his lady's happiness first, "...We can wait until morning, though.” I kiss her. “Patience is not one of my finer traits, but I can do it— for you.” I liked this book, it was a good read.

Wildcat by Max Monroe

Cat is just awkward at times, “uh…You’re… This hand sanitizer,” she stuttered. “You…left it. And I wanted to make sure you had it so you could be…uh…clean.” Quinn is a vocal man, "I bit my lip with a smile, trailing my eyes down her naked body like a caress. “Da*n, baby. It’s not even my birthday.” Her brows drew together, and I laughed. “Every man loves to hear his ***k is huge, Cat. Most of them only hear it on their birthday.” I winked." This had a slow start, but I loved it still Quinn was just so fun loving.

It Might Be You by Jennifer Gracen

Nick has a good woman in Amanda the girl loves to stroke his ego along with other things, “you’re not sorry,” she accused, grinning back. “And I’m sure not sorry. I get this hot bod in my bed . You look like a Greek god, and you damn well know it.” Nick isn't bashful to let his woman know when he likes something, “I love when you touch me,” he said. “Keep doing it. Whatever you want.” I liked this book, loved Nick.

REVIEW:
Spencer really has a good woman in Brooke, "you were an ***, today," she said baldly. "But it's almost midnight. So you can start fresh." Spencer is one of those men who will dote on his woman, "I don't think this is the kind of thing I can kiss and make better. But, Angel," he added, pulling her close, "I'm definitely willing to try." So far I am loving this Man of the Month series, the books are novella length, and fun-hearted and wheys your appetite for romance.

NEW RELEASE: Taming Him by Kennedy Fox

Alex goes above and beyond what his woman asks, "I press her against my chest and lean my mouth down to her ear. “Darlin’, I plan to eff you against every possible surface, which means I need to stock up.” Hell have no furry like a mama pee-peed off, "if you weren’t a grown man, I’d slap you right now,” Mama says, with her arms crossed over her chest..." I loved River and her personality, “okay, you’re right. It was the alcohol and the way your tight jeans hugged your ***.” I loved this book, and the Bishop family and I cannot wait to get more in depth stories from every single one.

Claim Me, Cowboy by Maisey Yates

Joshua has a dry personality, at times it can be sexy, other times it's just annoying, I mean the man needs to let loose, “you like my horses,” he said, his tone dry. “Anyway, we’re about to have dinner. So maybe we shouldn’t be discussing skin mites?” I did like Joshua's bluntness at times, "...They rode on in silence, but he could feel her staring holes into his back. “Are you looking at my butt, Danielle?” It's good to know that even though Joshua is brazen the man does have some boundaries that shouldn't be crossed, "he looked over his shoulder, then back at Danielle. “Okay, I’m not usually a prude, but we are in a church.” I liked this book, I thought Danielle was good for Joshua.

Burn Me Anthology by Various Authors

I read When Sparks Fly by Kaylee Ryan when Brantley is distracted the man doesn't pay attention, "...my hands on her hips just before I plow into her. “Sorry, babe. Your * ** distracted me,” I whisper in her ear." The man has quite the possessive side, it's sexy, “Yyu’re mine, Kinsley. You’re never going to worry about some dumb effer not taking care of you. That’s my job now.” I liked this novella there were a few characters in there I'm hoping to get a book of their own.

On Hart's Boardwalk by Samantha Young

Liv says one thing and Nate thinks it means something else, "my husband immediately frowned. “Are you suggesting we don’t have *** on our vacation?” Nate is still that protective man, “you do realize how effing freezing that ocean is at night,” Nate said, concerned. “Babe, you’re not going in that ocean at night. Naked.” I loved seeing this couple again and what they've been up to and that Nate still was hot for his wife and vice versa.

    REVIEW:
Grady is one very passionate man, “thank eff he isn’t here because I’m going to eff you, Dylan. It’s all I’ve been thinking about. I shouldn’t do it. I shouldn’t pull you into this, but hell if I’ll be able to stop myself..." I loved this book, I adored Grady this book grabbed hold of me and didn't let go, I was so absorbed in it.

EXCERPT

Preoccupied with a text on my phone from my agent, I walk into the kitchen and suck in a breath when I come face to back with Grady. He’s standing with his hand on the refrigerator door, head leaned inside, and his back fully exposed to me. It’s broad and strong and scarred immeasurably. I stare. I can’t help it. The marks are a dizzying array of dark and light and ridged and smooth. And they’re undeniably burns. Goosebumps chase over my skin as I imagine the pain he must have endured when he got those. I think of his habit of wearing unbuttoned shirts but never going shirtless and the hint of scars just visible above his collar that I never could have imagined led to this roadmap to hell on his back. A part of me instinctively wants to reach out to touch them, bring some kind of comfort. It sounds ridiculous, even to me, but that doesn’t abate the urge. “Not pretty, huh? Get a good look while you can.” His voice is gruff as his spine stiffens and body stills, emotion woven through the words. “Thank God not all of you is pretty. I was beginning to feel majorly insecure having to live with perfection like you,” I say off the cuff, trying to make this situation less awkward. My attempt to settle the sudden tension sparking in the air around us. “Perfection?” he asks as he turns to face me with a smile that masks the emotion swirling in his eyes. “Yeah. You have scars. I have mermaid thighs.” “Mermaid thighs?” He laughs. “What in the world are you talking about?” “Thighs that touch from the top all the way to my knees.” I shrug as if it doesn’t bug me, as if I’m not highlighting one of the insults Tara threw at me. It’s a whole lot easier to make fun of myself so long as it puts him at ease. “Do you ever give yourself a break?” Do you?” I ask the question, sparking a silent battle of wills as we stare at each other and wonder what to say next about the other’s insecurities. Coming up empty, I shift gears. “I think there is some type of rule about how many abs are fair for a guy to have when the rest of us are just struggling to find one of them.” His smile rings more genuine as he steps toward me, and I step back, my hips leaning against the counter now. “Is that so?” His voice lowers as his eyes flick to my lips and then back up. “I’m sure you have some under your shirt there.” Why does the simple action make it seem so hard to swallow? He takes another step. “What are you building outside?” “A playroom.” A nervous chuckle falls from my lips as I think of all of the versions of playrooms I’ve read about in my romance books. My cheeks stain red as I imagine Grady with a flogger in one hand standing beside a St. Andrew’s Cross. “A playroom?” “Yeah.” He takes a step closer so we’re breathing the same air, his voice husky enough to cause every part of my body to grow alert. “A playroom. You know . . . a pool table. Foosball. A real man cave.” I exhale a shaky sigh, suddenly more than aware that he’s so close, shirtless, sweaty, and smelling like sun and soap mixed together. But it’s his eyes that make my thoughts falter. There’s an intensity to them I don’t expect from the perpetually cheerful Grady Malone. “Ah, that kind of playroom . . .” But my words trail off as he steps even closer and braces his hands on the counter on either side of me. I can hear his intake of breath. The music floating in from outside. The pound of my pulse in my ears. “Hey, Dyl?” “Yes?” Our eyes hold, my lips fall lax. “I need you to open up.” What?” I question as his hand brushes against my hip and his fingers pull on the drawer handle I’m standing in front of. “I need the bottle opener. You’re standing in front of the drawer it’s in.” His lips spread into a full-fledged grin as I scramble away from the counter and, of course, run smack dab into the hardness, all six foot plus of him. And then I rebound off him again in a flustered state that has him laughing and me stuttering. “Sorry. I wasn’t—I didn’t . . .” His arms hold on to my biceps to steady me, which prompts me to look up and meet his eyes. “We need to stop meeting like this,” he murmurs, the heat of his breath hitting my lips. “We do.” Brilliant, Dylan. Freaking brilliant response. “I’ve gotta . . . I’ve gotta get back to . . . to writing.”

Saving Hearts by Rebecca Crowley

I liked the chemistry between Erin and Brendan:
“Maybe. I don’t know.” He ran his hand through his hair. “Is it always this hard to say no to you?”
“Most people quit trying pretty early on.”
           “I can see why.”
“Don’t feel bad. You may become the only man to see my boobs and subsequently turn me down.”
Sometimes it's just easier for Brendan to give in to his woman, “whatever you say,” he replied smoothly, then put his finger under her chin and brought their lips together." I liked this book, Erin was good for Brendan.

Peachy Flippin' Keen by Molly Harper

I loved when Frankie would talk to herself, “no, I will not pray for chiggers to gnaw on a man’s junk until it falls off. That is beneath my dignity as a lady. Also, I’m pretty sure that’s how you end up in the special ‘ironic punishment’section of hell.” This was just a small taste of Frankie and Eric or at least I'm hoping it is, because they are perfect for each other. I can't wait for more.

Eulogy by Rachel Van Dyken

There are some thing Chase takes very seriously, "he eyed me very seriously. “Food’s a big deal. Gotta keep it safe.” He shrugged. “Plus, it’s connected to a wine cellar.” There were times I wanted to kick Chase in the nuts, then there were times I wanted to cry for him, and he'd do something dumb and I'd want to kick him in the nuts again. Chase has a tendency to blame his woman for some things, “I’m going to be erect every time I make coffee because of you.” This book was a rollercoaster ride, there were times my heart stopped and I was like really Rachel, really!!?!?! It's funny how one small thing could change the outcome of fate.

Beast by Debra Anastasia

Our boy sure knows how to make a girl feel special, “oh my god. Your boobs are spectacular.” I covered them shyly--feeling exposed. “No don’t. Come here.” He motioned for me to stand in front of him." I found this story to be really cute and a fun read.

Mr. Blakely by K Webster

Quinn is always complimenting his girl, "satisfaction glimmers in his eyes as he pulls away. His fingers drag down along my throat and he grins before tugging his hand away . “Perhaps I should decorate your lovely neck with pretty necklaces then.” Quinn is just so darn bossy, “never said you were,” I say in a matter of fact tone. “But what I did say was you are mine. I take care of what’s mine. If I want to buy you a darn car, I’ll buy you a darn car.” I really do like these dirty reads, there perfect to pass some time and quick to read.

How to Date a Douchebag: The Coaching Hours by Sara Ney

This d-bag was good people when it came to understanding and listening to his leading lady, “stuff? You mean act like effing idiots? I have no freaking idea since I generally try not to act like one.” Our girl's dad loved to embarass her lord have mercy, “I guess with a name like *****, I didn’t realize you came with a ****s. I assumed you’d have a *****a.” Holy freakin' wow I adored this book, of course Zeke is my main man, but this d-bag has a place in my heart.

Home with You by Shirlee McCoy

Sullivan has no problem calling out Rumor about situations, “you haven’t said more than ten words to me since we got here, you’re doing everything in your power to not look me in the eyes, and every time you get a chance you scoot that chair a little farther away. If that’s not avoiding, what would you call it?” I liked this book, I found it to be very sweet and the children were the stars of the book.

Getting Hotter by Elle Kennedy

Seth could be over-dramatic, “you’re presenting your *** to me like a mare in heat. For the love of God , put on some clothes before I eff you again.” Seth is always surprising his woman, “Miranda, I grew up in a Las Vegas dressing room. I know my way around sewing machines. And a needle and thread— I’ll definitely have to stitch those sequins back on by hand. I’m hanging up the phone now. You’re distracting me.” I loved this book, I loved Seth the man was so set in his ways and with Miranda thoaer ways went out the window.

REVIEW BLITZ: Bad For You by J Daniels

"If you're a fan of Kristen Ashley, then you will love this book." -Aestas Book Blog on Four Letter Word

He didn't want to be bad. He just didn't have a choice... Shayla Perkins isn't the kind of girl who makes the same mistake twice, especially when it comes to Sean "Stitch" Molina. So when he gives her the world's biggest rejection, that's it--she's done. Until the sexy, silent, unavailable Sean makes Shay a very personal offer. Of course, it still doesn't mean he's interested in her. Or does it? Sean has done things in life. Bad things. And he's paid the price. All he wants now is to make up for his past by doing good in the present. And no one deserves more good than Shay. Beautiful on the inside and out, Shay is the kind of woman who should be cared for and protected--especially from a man like Sean. He's tried to keep his feelings for her in check, but a single, reckless impulse pulls them closer than ever before.   Soon the two are sharing their biggest dreams and satisfying their deepest desires. But what will happen if the only way to truly give each other what they want most...is to let each other go?   "The perfect mix of funny, hot and heartwarming. I enjoyed it immensely!" --Mia Sheridan, New York Times bestselling author, on Four Letter Word

REVIEW:
Shayla is very outspoken and I don't think Sean knows what to do with her and all her goodness “you’re really hot,” I said. Sean paused his work on the potatoes and looked up at me. His mouth twitched. “And sexy,” I continued. “I haven’t been this attracted to someone my entire life, I don’t think. I like everything about you.” Sean is also a very outspoken person, "his brows ticked up. “You talkin’ about effin’ or somethin’ else?” I loved this book, it was so emotional Sean was so worthy of all the joy Shayla brought into his life.

Shape of My Heart by LuAnn McLane

Jimmy could confuse a girl, "amusement flickered in his eyes. “You frowned first.” He pointed at his face. “Causing me to frown. Are you secretly angry that I took you out into the storm?” Jimmy is all for making his girl feel comfrontable, “I can take it off.” He handed her a six-pack of cold beer. Maggie fought against a blush and lost. She dearly wanted to put a cold can of beer to her forehead. “And you can take yours off too, you know,” he said with a grin." Maggie knowd a good deal when she hears one, "Jimmy walked over with a crisp slice of bacon. “I’ll trade this bacon for a kiss.” Maggie put her coffee mug on the ledge and pulled him in for a long, lingering, all-consuming kiss. “You must love bacon.” I liked this book, I loved Jimmy.

The Sins of Lord Lockwood by Meredith Duran

Anna has got some lady balls, “don’t make me follow you, Liam.” She said it very neutrally. “I gave you eight hours. That’s all you will get.” Liam is sometimes a man in denial:
That won him a snort. “You were snoring for over an hour.”
                 “I don’t snore.”
“Louder than old Murray, in fact.”
I really enjoyed this book, I loved Liam and Anna they were both good for each other, and Anna doesn't put up with Liam's crap which makes her perfect for him.
