Carver tries to do the right thing, “we came in here to give me a chance to cool down. Honestly... if we go back to your apartment right now, Lo, I won’t take my time with you.” He stares into my eyes and I see the heat flickering in his irises. “Or be gentle.” Carver says the sweetest things, "...I’m taking you back to my hotel where I plan to make you a very happy woman, all night long.” I really liked this book, I loved Carver.
