Too Hard to Forget by Tessa Bailey
Peggy has some brass lady balls, she is not like other women that Elliot knows:
“Of course it is,” Peggy murmured. “Everyone wants one. They’re just too scared of you to ask.”
“You’re not,” he blustered. “Today alone, you’ve had me agree to a speech, a fund-raiser, and a signing.”
Elliot could use a little help in the dating department, "Jesus. He hadn’t asked a woman out on a date in… had he ever asked a woman out on a date?" Elliot is a man who does not like to be interrupted, "Elliott broke away from Peggy’s mouth with a frustrated sound, pegging the flashlight-holding newcomer with a look designed to kill. “Yes?” I really enjoyed this book, I'm glad Elliot and Peggy got a second chance.
