Sometimes a relationship is all about the negotiations:
“At a tech gala where a bunch of techies will talk tech. You’ll have to forgive me for not signing up this minute.”
“I’ll take you home with me and thank you for your time.” She whistled. “Breaking out the big guns, huh?”
“One gun in particular.”
I really liked this book, Mark was a good guy, and Karen was just an interesting character.
