Dragon on Top by G.A. Aiken
Bram is an interesting guy, and the reactions to things good or bad is amusing, I have to say it's more amusing when it's bad situations:
“I didn’t think it was possible— but this situation has managed to get worse.”
“But you’re so calm,” she observed.
“That’s usually when you can tell everything has gone to ***t.”
Bram is an honest man and if his woman stinks from her trips he's totally going to point that out, "Bram buried his nose against her neck, breathed in deep. “Gods, female. You smell like blood and death.” I liked this book Bram, he kept it interesting.
