Never Too Late by Micalea Smeltzer
You would think the stars of the book would be Remy and Mathias but in actuality it was gramma, "I wanted some cookies,” she called back, “so I’m making some God darn cookies and no one can stop me." I bet you a hundred dollars that Mathias was the kid in school that hated to share because the boy still hates to share, "I want you to be mine,” he growled lowly, “and only mine." He tries to accommodate his woman, "Would you like me to give you my credit card so you can go to Pier-Effing-One and make the place all feminine and prissy?” He waved a hand wildly through the air." Gramma likes to make sure Mathias is right for her granddaughter so she had to check out everything about him, "have you been working out?” My grandma asked him, reaching up to grasp his bicep through the material of his shirt." When asked about how she likes Mathias's house Remy of course has to be honest, "I haven’t seen much, you know, besides your c***. But it was pretty nice. I quite like it actually." I loved this book it was dirtier and grittier than Maddox's and I loved that.
