Rafe has a stick up his butt which made this story so much more interesting, "Rafe tugged her closer before she could trip over a gravestone. "Damn it, woman. Devil take your wagon! You fail to grasp the severity of this situation." His thoughts are not always innocent, actually with Rafe there's never anything innocent in his thoughts, "I need to go hunting now," he rasped. Before I tear off your clothes and plunge my c*** and my fangs inside you." My favorite scene was with him and Vincent they were getting measured for the ball that they and their ladies were going to attend:
"Lydia is enduring the same fate, I may remind you." Vincent remarked. "And she is doubtless freezing, being forced to stand there in only her chemise." A rakish smile spread across his features. "Perhaps we could go down and have a peek."
Rafe scowled. "I don't want you looking at my woman."
Vincent folded his arms and glared. "Well, I don't want you looking at my woman!"
I swear no matter how old these vampire men become or age they're still like little kids which is why I love this series, it's always a fun read.
