There were a lot of point of views in this book so I decided to focus on just one and that was Haakon. He was an interesting character and his thoughts were entertaining, "Haakon couldn't believe Malcolm Rose, the father of his future wife, and Tyson Brevard, the father of his sex partner, were talking about sides." There were sides of him that were vulnerable and I loved seeing that, "still a** to marble, Haakon popped a pill in his mouth before he had time to talk himself out of it. It clung to the sides of his dry throat and gagged him: he stood and cupped water from the sink into his mouth to make it go down." He tries with Gwen but the boy just doesn't have game where she's concerned, "you look nice tonight, Gwendolyn," Haakon said. "I should have said that earlier. That shade of blue suits you. What is it? Turquoise?" Although I liked the book I don't think I'll be continuing the series it wasn't really my genre and I thought I'd give it a go, which I did and found it's not for me.
