Bloom by Elizabeth O'Roark

Our girl Elle has a voice and she's not afraid to use it, "but why are you acting like it's somehow worse than what any other girl is doing?" I ask. "Ginny wears bikinis. I bet Allison does too. It's totally normal and you're trying to make it sound slu**y. It's the same thing you did with the uniform and you don't do it to anyone else." James has some issues to work out mainly has to do with what Elle wears, "that's not a dress. It's a shirt," grumbles James. "And not even a long one." He also has the crappiest excuses, "Elle," he says. "It's not that. Just wait, because you're taking that all wrong." He stops to gather his thoughts. "It's not that I don't want to. if my memory of last night is correct, it was pretty clear I wanted to. You're just too young. That's why it would be wrong. Not for any other reason." He also has no patience, "now, if you'll excuse me, I'd like to be alone with my girlfriend for the first time in four effing days." I mean I lied when I said James has crappy excuses he sometimes has good ones, "and worst case, we both drop out of school and go live in a cabin in the woods and forage for food until it all dies down," he suggests. "And you'll probably end up pregnant because we have nothing to do in the cabin but have sex all day." I loved this book.
