Bride of a Scottish Warrior by Adrienne Basso

Oh Ewan you sexy beast, "'tis an admirable quality to put duty first," Ewan said smoothly. "I look forward to sitting beside ye at the evening meal. Ye will be joining us then?" I mean the boy is just yum yum, "'tis obvious that ye deserve only the best and finest." Sir Ewan smiled Charmingly. "When I have coin to spare, I'll shower ye with gifts fit fer a queen." I mean the boy just makes hot promises, "we must provide for our people first," he said gently. "As fer yer needs, well, I vow that I shall see to them far better than a gold necklace of gold and gemstone." I mean I don't think Grace wants to feel this way about Ewan but the girl is falling fast and I loved how Ewan wants to do anything for his girl, "aye, yer body has been beside me, but yer laughter and teasing smile are gone," she said. "Ye're distant and vague. Most days I feel as though I'm intruding upon yer life and it saddens me." Ewan blinked in surprise. She spoke the words plainly, without accusation or self-pity. Guilt swamped him. He had vowed to make her happy, not bring her distress." Sometime's when nature calls nature calls, "he nearly smiled. She sounded so unlike herself - arrogant and in command. "Dearest wife, I must rise from this bed to answer nature's call. I implore ye to either help me or get out of my way." I really did enjoy reading this book, I loved Ewan so damned much.
