I liked this sober Quinton better he's still blunt, "how about you and me," he says, his voice cracking. "And what we are." He's much more in control, "he cups my cheek in his hand. "Tell me what you need me to do...anything you need and I'll get it for you." He gives good advice, "he brings his foot up and his knee and shakes his head. "Baby, you're too nice sometimes. You need to be more assertive." He gives the best compliments, "I'm standing there in front of him in my bra and panties, feeling as though I should be embarrassed, but I'm not. "Jesus, you're beautiful." The first book in this series is still my favorite, and I'm kind of happy/sad that they got their ending.
