This book had a little rocky start but I knew I loved James when he took care of Lana (at this point the boy hates her guts), "tears are streaming her face. She backs away from me, covering her chest like she's naked but I've dressed her. I've dressed her and cared for her and carried her, regardless of how much I despise her." It took getting to the middle of the book for me to actually fall in love with it, and even more with James, "he breathes into my hair, still worked up and puffing from the fight. "I'll kill anyone who touches you." The boy thinks a date should include a soccer game, one that he's playing in (typical male), "he scowls, hovering over my lips. "I asked you to come to my soccer game and watch me kick a**. I will be gracing you with the gift of my mad skills." I love how Tara can venture into other genres, but this one was kinda a so-so for me.
