Nick and Jean have a little somethin', somethin' going on and well everyone notices it, especially when they act all weird, "what's up with you two? First Nick gets all moody and leaves the party, then you leave, too. And now you're both scowling this morning." Nick he really does care about Jean and he doesn't like seeing his girl hurt, "Nick's side burned like hell, and he had a headache worthy of a three day bender. The sight of Jean's beautiful face streaked with tears made it all fade away. "Hey," he said, "Why are you crying?" And I love the way Nick make promises, "she ran her hands up his sides, avoiding his injury, and settled them over his chest, curling her fingers through the soft, damp hair. Nick dropped a kiss on her forehead as he pulled her hips against him. She could feel how much he wanted her, and the need she felt for him tugged at her soul. "It's a promise, sweetheart. A solemn, sworn promise."
