Taste of Darkness by Maria V. Snyder

*********************************SPOILER ALERT**************************************

So after the last book's little cliffhanger I had to nag the author but I FINALLY got to see the conclusion of Kerrick and Avry. You know Avry in the beginning her hope was still going about Kerrick and she may have been a bit snippy to those that love and care about her, "really, Quain? Is that all you got? Do you think I have an appetite right now?" I regretted my harsh sarcasm immediately." But she felt bad about it which means she has not gone cray-cray.

************************SPOILER ALERT**********************

The parts I loved most about this book is when Avry and Kerrick are together, I could have cared less about Tohon and all his evilness, it was just Avry and Kerrick, "a warmth spread throughout his chest. Avry had faith in him. Kerrick hoped she held on to it and hadn't changed her mind. He hated to think he'd caused her any more pain." Kerrick has changed a lot since book one he's more of a romantic now, "well...after the war...I was hoping for....you know...marriage..." I love the conversations that Avry and Kerrick have they always seem to amuse me:
              "And we'll have children?"
"As many as you want. That won't be a problem." He leered.
I kind of would like a spin off series you know with Flea finding his happily ever after Ryne (fell in love with him along the way) and Quain and all the others.
