Lots of pent up feelings between Lane and Maddox, "I told you welcome home, didn't I?" Maddox is a playful kinda guy, "if you hurt your a**, I'll kiss it and make it better for you." When I gasped at his blatant innuendo, he laughed. "Just teasing." They have a lot of history together and even back then he was always sweet on his girl, "easy baby, don't take all my hair before the Army can." Lane has balls she kicks Maddox in them, and she speaks her mind, "oh please. Stop trying to act all Chuck Norris commando. You've been shot for goodness sake. Besides, it's Advil, not Morphine." You know there's a lot of 'balls' going around in this book, someone is either always kicking them or talking about them, "I think you have an unhealthy obsession with my balls, babe." Maddox is a really thoughtful guy, "no way am I letting my girl service me on her knees in this disgusting shower." Lane's dad is totally the s***, I know if I had a dad and he was in the situations her dad was put in he'd be freaking the hell out, "you have to learn something about timing, son. It's overwhelming enough coming off a hostage situation. Don't add to my stress level by asking to date Lane." I liked this book and I'd really like to see maybe Drew's story.
