*Fidgeting on Rourk's couch hoping I'll make a good impression.* Mumbles "Good Lord the man is married get a hold of yourself."
Rourk cleared his throat and looked up at Heather. "You have some questions for me?"
*Jumps a little on the couch* "Right yea, um... okay so how has married life been treating you?" *way to go Heather make him think you're a complete nutter.*
A rare smile spread across his face. "Married life is—amazing. It's hard because we are often separated but in someways it makes the relationship stronger."
"Oh that's so nice (smiles) I want to get all the interesting questions out of the way because well we have readers that expect me to deliver the goods, so boxers, briefs, or do the boys breathe freely?"
Rourk looked down at the ground a slight flush on his face and back up. "Boxers."
"Oh come now no need to be embarrassed! So how do keep that fine body looking so um... fine?
Rourk laughed. "This isn't exactly what I was expecting when I was told I had to do an interview. My job requires me to be very active. We're always training and required phyiscal training in the morning."
"Listen hun, Julia knows me and my story, I also know about you and your story and what you've been through the peeps wouldn't have brought me to ya, if I didn't know what I was doin' ya? As I said it's my job to deliver the goods whether it be what type of underwear you prefer or the deep down s*** that we need to get deep down into. Everyone wants to know your story."
"Fair enough. So what else do you want to know?"
"What are four things you can't live without? Yes I said four, three is just unlucky."
"Three is Keegan's favorite number. There's only one thing I can't live without and that's Keegan. Everything else is replaceable." (There's another answer, but Julia swore me to secrecy. So you'll have to read the book to see what I mean.)
"Luckily for me I did read the book so I do know what you're talking about" (winks) "You know how I said we'd get into the nitty gritty of things well that starts now the readers have demanded, which means I deliver supply and demand is how the world goes round these days, so have you ever done anything you feel ashamed of?"
"Hmm, I'm sure I should have some deep dark secret that I should be ashamed of but nothing comes to mind. I try to live by the elvin code of honor. I've done a lot of things in my life that others might consider bad, but to me it's a way of life. I'm a warrior and war is not pretty."
"Is there something you're hopeless at? You know that you can't do and you'd be totally ashamed is people knew you couldn't do it?"
"You really do ask the tough questions. Let's see... well I'm not very good at interacting with people. I've always been an outsider looking in. Some might think I come across as cold or heartless." Rourk shrugged. "Oh and don't ever ask me to sing or dance. Neither of those are a pretty sight. I'm not really ashamed of either. It's just who I am."
"Interesting... that brings me to my next question which you kinda already answered but Imma gonna ask anyway, what are four words that people use to describe you?"
"Warrior, quiet, loyal and honorable. At least I think that's what they would say. What I hope they would say. But we can never know what others are thinking can we?"
"Ain't that the truth, what is a tidbit that we would have never guessed about you?"
"I beat Keegan everytime we play charades. She's going to kill me for telling you that."
"Hmmm sorry I was distracted lol." (looking at my kindle staring at books) "There are A LOT of books on sale right now, right moving on, is it hard for you to admit when you're wrong?"
"No, not really. I try to learn from my errors."
"Well at least your man enough to admit that not many people are. the interview is winding down but if your life was made into a movie, who would you pick to play you?"
"I've never given that much thought, but Keegan always says Eddie Redmayne reminds her of me."
"And our last question for the interview is favorite band?"
"Nine Inch Nails."
"Thank you so much for having me in your home, I really thought you'd be a hardass but you're actually quite nice!"
"Thanks for having me, Heather. I'm glad I didn't come across as a hardass in person. Keegan will be happy. She made me sit down and she drilled me with questions trying to make me more comfortable with the idea. She'll get a kick out of your questions. There isn't one she thought you'd ask. So nice job on keeping it original."
REVIEW: As we all know Julia Crane is a bada** mofo, and I love her dearly why because I always get to beta read her books and she spoils me rotten (winks.) On to the review!! My Rourk, my Rourky ugh I love him, he's still as playful as he was when he and Keegan were first dating, "be sure to breathe between bites. I'm not sure how I would explain to my team sergeant that I didn't make my flight because of a trip to the emergency room." He still has his hotness, "with a grin on his face, Rourk tossed his shirt off and joined Keegan under the covers." So I had some weird vibes before reading this book because I love Keegan just as much as I love Rourky, and I thought we would get a book about Rourk and what he does when he goes bye-bye but that's not the case we get BOTH point of views in the book plus more so I was really pleased with that. Keegan goes through something traumatic in the book and I applaud her for her courage, and will, "I will not allow you to break me. There is nothing you could do to me that would break me. My body is nothing than an outer shell. My soul resides deep inside and you cannot touch it." Every time Julia gives me a book to read the woman is like all nervous especially with this one as it's her first novella, and as always I assure her I will NOT hate it, and I don't I love the way the woman writes she does have talent (and no I'm not just saying this because she does spoil me) but it's the truth. I was VERY pleased with my Rourky!
:) Great questions! Thanks for being on the tour.
