The Proposition by Jennifer Lyon

Sloane is such an alpha male (let me rephrase that) a SEXY alpha male, "I do whatever it takes to win." He's not afraid to be blunt especially where Kat is concerned, "sit," he growled softly, his fingers on the chair sliding between hers, creating a sensual friction. "Before I forget we're in public." You do not, and I repeat DO NOT touch the man's cupcakes, "touch them and die, Carson. She brought them for me." He gets angry easily by all the bull-crap people have told Kat about herself (that really says something about Sloane) "who the eff told you that?" Goddamn it he rarely lost his temper anymore, but that sent his blood into a rage." He's a protective kind of guy, when you're with him you get treated well and protection, "when you're with me, I will make sure you're safe. Every damn time." The end quote in the book though, "he touches you again, I'm going to hurt him. While we're together, you're mine. I protect what's mine." makes me really really want the next book to see where this relationship is going.
