This book hit home for me, as I went through the same experience as Grace did. Ben he was a sweetheart, and funny, "I raise my eyebrows, and that effing hurts, too, but I don't care as long as she's talking to me. "Well, Mr. Dashboard won tonight, I think." He's weirdly out of place when it comes to Grace, "I nod and smile. 'As long as you're a woman.' Which sounds really creepy under the circumstances, so I add, 'You know, seeing as it's a class for women.' I didn't take a lot of notes not because I didn't like the story but I did, but because it really hit close to home.
