American Savages by J.J. McAvoy

Mel is a violent version of mother when when it comes to her son, "that’s the thing, he’s mine to take, Olivia, he is my son! My blood! Not yours. So I won’t tell you again, Olivia. Leave. Get out of my face before I bash yours in.” Liam I love him more and more with each book, "you, as my wife, anticipated my needs without having to ask or be asked. I, as your husband, wish to do the same.” I love the place that Mel and Liam are slowly getting to, "You fucked me good, Mr. Callahan,” she smirked. “How am I going to explain not being able to sit?" I loved this series and it's characters I hated to see it end but I'm glad on how it ended.
