When Ash Falls by Rachel Van Dyken

Out of all the characters in this series it was Ash that took home the prize of my heart I fell in love with him instantly, "Ash sighed. "I must be allowed to shoot something." If he didn't, the constraint might drive him mad. He'd been sitting in the same blasted carriage for days now. Who knew it took so long to escape Scotland?" Ash's personality, I don't know how to describe it but I just loved it, "bloody hell, I must give every person the impression I have no self-control," Ash muttered, while, from somewhere behind him, Pierce laughed." The chemistry between him and Sofia is off the charts, there's witty comebacks and dialogue between them, "the signal I'm thinking is most improper," Ash narrowed his gaze. "And would most likely get you kicked out of the ball. Care to see it?" Only Ash would use his injuries to his advantage, actually all the men in this series would, "yes." Ash nodded emphatically. "In fact, if you just rub your hands across my naked skin, I would feel so much better." Her eyes narrowed. "Common war practice." He coughed. "Do you feel that chill? Better shrug out of your gown and lie down next to me. We don't want me catching  a chill and dying." I'm actually sad to see this series end I loved the re-telling of the fairytales from Rachel's mind, she has such a great imagination.
