The Shape of my Heart by Ann Aguirre

Max and Courtney sure seem to have chemistry not to mention the honesty that comes out of both of them:
"You go me so horny, I couldn't wait. I had to-" Max swore, his intensity ratcheting from incredible to smoldering.
                "In the bathroom? you were-"
"Getting off. Rubbing one out. Whatever you want to call it. Not the first time, either. I've fantasized about you for a while."
Max he's just cute, "will you please come to bed now? I hope your satisfied, by the way. I'm too effing tired for sex."  I loved how Courtney stood up for her man, "you acted that way to a guest I brought home," I cut in furiously. "He wasn't here because he's hoping to get something from me. Max doesn't even like me to pay for dinner when we go out. And he's definitely not on drugs, Ma. That was me, remember? Because I couldn't cope. I was weak and losing Eli was just too much." I have to say out of the series this one was my favorite to read.
