Thomas that boy has to remind his girl about some things from time to time, "that's the governess's daughter speaking. Remember, you are my mistress now, and mistresses are indecent by definition." He's also a bossy one, "and I'll buy you whatever I feel like, whenever I like. I'll have you know all my friends think I have impeccable taste." He tries to fix what he can for his girl, "Thomas ducked the flying fountain pen, though a few drops of ink splashed on his sleeve. "Now, Harry, you're overreacting. This will all blow over in a day or two. And you don't need a fresh start! If you married me -" He's also so considerate, "should he try to replicate them now? No, let the poor girl sleep. There were many more hours in the day, many more days, weeks, months, years!" I enjoyed this book a lot I loved Thomas and Harriet but mainly Thomas he was completely something else and I loved it.
