James reminds me so much of Ford so obviously I loved him right off. I'm not sure what it was but I was intrigued and drawn to James, the way he talked, acted but mostly talked, "I'm not typically surprised, especially by women. But I have to tell ya, Harper, the though that you'd rather jump off a pier than be asked out on a date by me...well, it's an ego bruiser, to say the least." He likes his women a certain way, but with Harper he's willing to bend those rules just once, "holy eff. You are so ready. I like my women shaved, Harp. Since you're so new at this, I'll let it go. But later, once we get the basics out of the way, I'm gonna shave you." I loved this little taste of these two and I can't wait to get into the actual story of them.
*****************************PROBABLY CONTAINS SPOILER*********************
First of all I don't understand why there was a cliffhanger, WHY!?!!? I missed James and his naughtiness, "you're warning me what?" he asks in a whisper. "You'll lose all control, fall to your knees, and take my c*** in your mouth?" He also has some weird quirks about him but what got that in the novella as well, "Jesus effing Christ, no. Just thinking about how young you are makes me want to eff you harder." So for me James was acting weird which I kinda think led to the cliffhanger I know it doesn't make sense but once you read the book what I just said will totally make sense (I hope), "no," he says too quickly. "I'm not leaving. Not for good anyway. I'm gonna go get what I need and I'll be right back. And then we're gonna watch the damn sunset. If it' the last thing I do, I will get another sunset with you." I enjoyed this book I loved James but he till has nothing on Ford.
