The book was action packed which I loved, I mean everyone knows I'm a sucker for a romance and this book had that aspect as well. I just wanted to let everyone know that I really hated the Goddesses in this book because of things they did, and no I can't say because it would be a spoiler and ya'll are uptight about those, so I will keep why I'm upset about them to myself and maybe complain to the author as well haha. But here is a little tiny hint at why I'm upset with the Goddesses, "So the Goddesses can protect just one building, but the rest goes to hell?" So the beginning of the bookie I loved, the banter between Jatred and Jasmira was entertaining and playful, "You hit the Winter Prince, woman. Now you have to pay." Jatred is so sweet and manly it's like what's not to love, "I love you. No damn Goddess can change that." But Jatred can also break my heart, well he actually tore it out as the book got going into all the action scenes, "Look... I don't know what to tell you. I don't think I've ever seen you before-" I mean he really tore my heart out, "Leave me alone. I mean it. Whatever it is you think you are doing, is not my concern. I just want to be left alone." Slowly but surely Jatred sort of came around again and I fell in love with him all over again. Now I know this book is a FIRST in a series but the good thing is the cliffhanger wasn't a killer like I thought it would be.

ReplyDeleteJatred didn't just "want to be left alone" out of the blue :-) You know what the Winter Goddess did to him, right? That was why he acted like not himself.
