Some lines in the book were just pure OO-LA-LA's, "My heart raced, and I pressed my body to his as I slid my hands up his chest." See oo-la-la. Adam he is such a sweetheart (might be a little to sweet for me as ya'll know how I like my men) but he's just the sweetest, "You know I don't mind your mom's burnt cooking if it means I can spend more time with you." Adam and Rylie have a great relationship (to me it seems a little to picture perfect but as you get into my review you'll understand why I'm saying that) The chemistry does seem to come natural for them:
"That I love your truck."
"Uh-huh, sure you do. I thought you said it was a gas hog and too hard to get into."
"I like this part." I traced my fingers up his thigh and gave him a wicked grin.
"Is that so? You better watch it or you're gonna cause an accident," he said wryly."
That sort of changes when Kallan enters the picture (he kind of had to grow on me.) He's something else, "Trust me, if I knew a way to get you out of my life and back to Adam, I would gladly arrange it. You are putting a serious damper on my plans." Personally I'm team Kallan I mean I know the boy can be an a** but he also brings out the feelings Rylie has never really had, like anger, "Hey!" I narrowed my eyes. "If anyone is pathetic, it's you. You can't even make your own decisions. Your father dictates your life." Then there is the fact Kallan brings out desire in Rylie, "Faster than I could imagine, he had me pushed up against a tree. His long lean body was pressed against mine, his hands trailing down my arms." Hot, Hot Hot! "I will win her love." Is probably the line that I loved most in the book that Kallan says it shows he's determined and that there's gonna be a book TWO!
