I liked this book, but didn't love it. I didn't appreciate the fact that on the planet Kiera and women in general have crap for rights. "Omigod! It's so not just far away!" Kiera replied. "Women don't have any rights where Romas is from. He said as much! So I'm going to be stuck on a planet far away, without a bus ticket home surrounded by spiders the size of basketballs and being bossed around by Neanderthal barbarians who forbid me to talk and lock me in the bathroom." A'ran didn't help much he and Kiera are mates and he doesn't know how to show affection, well besides sex but that really doesn't count, and not what life is all about. I would actually read the sequel if Lizzy wrote one, I would love to know if Kiera still challenges A'ran and see how they're doing.
