I hadn't read the first book in the series and I wasn't lost but going into the book I could feel lots of anger towards West. That boy sure had a lot of making up to do for me to love him, I slowly grew to that, it's when he was most honest with Caroline and himself that I grew to respect him, "I feel guilty," he says. "Like I'm taking advantage of you when you're watching Frankie, only I can't stop taking advantage because I never effing asked you to watch her, and when I tell you to quit, you don't." The parts I loved the most were when Caroline and West were together, together, "I will, I swear, baby, hold up," I say, because I've got to grab the condom or we'll have a mess on our hands. When I've got it secured, I pull out, sit up." West is just head over heels for Caroline, "me, neither." He lowers down and kisses me again, softly. "we probably should've talked first, effed each other's brains out after." I liked this book, I wasn't in love with it but it was still a good read.

Hades by Kamery Solomon
Hades seems to have a little bit of an attitude problem, "oh good grief," he said, striding towards me and grabbing my hand. "You could at least act a little happy to see me. I had all of your favorite foods brought down and they're going to go cold if we don't head to dinner now." I did love how protective and caring he could be once we got past all the bull-headedness, "did he hurt you?" he finally asked quietly, his free hand rubbing my back slowly. I shook my head, my face still buried in his chest, hands clutching him to me tightly. "Did he try?" I paused before nodding, scared to relive the entire episode again. "Then he got what he deserved," he said nastily." And I loved his playful side, "he leaned in and kissed me greedily, grabbing my butt over the silky fabric of my dress. "Hey," I gasped, pulling away and slapping his hand. "Stop that!" Growing up and learning about the Gods and Goddesses I totally pictured Hades as this mean, old, grumpy ass, who was abusive but I really liked Kamery's version better. All I can say is part two needs to be on it's way ASAP!
Officer Next Door by Ranae Rose
I am definitely going to like this new series from Ranae. I loved the boys, Liam, Henry and Grey and I can't wait for Henry and Grey and even Jeremy to get their story. Liam I loved that boy, "having a conversation with her that morning had just about killed him, and his balls still ached as he neared his house, pulling into the parking area in front of the porch." Alicia that girl had some great friends, I mean if you can't ogle a hot guy together then your just not really friends, "she, Sasha and Kerry had just watched Liam get into the shower with a hard-on to shame all hard-ons. It hadn't completely gone by the time he'd stepped out, either. Sasha was beside herself and even quiet Kerry seemed stunned." Liam he's a sneaky one gives the girl a whole bag of sugar for an excuse to see her again, "take the whole bag, and bring it back when you're done." A deliberate excuse to have her return to his place? Or was he just being neighborly?" He's also one to offer help, "anything you need help with?" Visions of bending her over one of her kitchen counters flooded his mind, but she needed assistance with something decidedly less satisfying, he'd help with that too." I think Henry and Sasha should be up next.
Bad Girls don't Marry Marines by Codi Gary
Justin that boy is to darned cute, "because if something happened to her, it would hurt you. And if I wasn't too obvious yesterday," he said, tickling the back of her hand with his touch, "I like you and would like to get to know you again." Good lord when Val doesn't appreciate someone or like someone or plain just can't stand someone that girl's claws come out, "on the contrary, unreasonable would be stabbing you with my fork. Right in your crotch," she said glancing pointedly. "Under the circumstances, I think I'm being damn charming." Justin sure has a potty mouth when he's angry (I think it's hot), "protocol? This isn't a effing business deal and I'm not a hired stud." When these two are together though fireworks explode, "leaning her back against his arm, he kissed her hard and deep, sweeping his tongue inside. Her a** shifted in his lap, making his co** rise to attention once more." I liked this book not as much as the other one but this was a good read and I'm hoping Val's sister's get a story because from what I read about Elle, that girl is going to be a damn hoot!

Bring on the Heat by Katie Rose
Shockingly I didn't really enjoy reading this book, and I think it was the fact that it took forever for one of the characters to figure out who the other was. I mean Chase he's a total sweetheart, "let's get you out of these before you kill yourself," he said, sliding a platform heel off her foot. "I don't know women torture themselves like this." And at first the poor guy couldn't catch a break in the bedroom with his woman, "it was barely a minute later when he returned, but Chase joined Darcy in the bed, condom in place, he heard an unmistakable sound. Snoring. Here eyes were firmly closed, and not with passion. Lydia Logan was fast asleep." I really do normally love sports romances but this one just wasn't for me.
Taming the Tango Champion by Cait O'Sullivan
Mathias comes off a tad bit strong, "Mathias grasped under her arm and pulled her to face him. "I haven't come all this way for you to turn your back on me." The words were ground out from between tight teeth." I mean the boy comes off as mean as well, "deliberately, he drew the back of his hand over his mouth. "Pliant as ever, Ava." Satisfaction smeared his voice, making a deeper emotion in his eyes. "This....conversation isn't over. But I will make you aware of one thing. No one, and I mean no one makes a fool of me. I want a DNA test done. My lawyers will be in touch." But the boy knows how to love so passionately when he allows himself, "hell. We need to be on stage for the results. Quick, cara mio." He gathered up his discarded clothes, stopped and looked right into her very soul. "You look so...beautiful. You're glowing." I liked this book, I didn't love it I liked it I thought it was missing a few factors but other than that it was a good read.
Duke of Darkness by Anabelle Bryant
I loved Alex right off, she was just so sweet and innocent, "a sudden yipping pulled his attention to the corner of the room where a white dog waited, a small bowl of food before him. "Never mind my dog, your grace, he's a jealous little fellow when excluded from the conversation." Devlin is a man who sure knows how to sweep a woman off her feet, "you are breathtaking. I will be the envy of every man and woman at this ridiculous event." He waggled his brows. "Are you sure you truly desire to go?" Alex can be a little temptress, "yes, the buttons. Troublesome, they are, the lower ones. Impossible to open, unless one takes hold and rips them apart, anxious to be out of one's clothing." He went rock hard." I mean the woman is really a temptress when she wants to be, "Lexi sat up in bed when he opened the bedchamber door having just finished breakfast. Henry snoozed on the blanket beside her. "Devlin, I missed you." A smile of pure happiness, complete with fetching dimple, lit her face as she tilted her head to meet his eyes. "Did you miss me at all?" I loved reading this book and I'm hoping some characters from this book get their own story.
