Color Me Pretty by C.M. Stunich

I liked this book better then the first one in the duet probably because of the happiness in it. Yes it's about Claire's journey but it's how she does it that makes the story. It's also about that one person who sticks by your side through good times and bad and that's why I fell so hard for Emmett, "aren't we all? The best we can do is embrace the half-alive bit, see where it takes us because eventually, we all succumb to that other side of ourselves. We just have to make sure that when we do," Emmett puts the fingers of one hand under my chin and leans in close to me, teasing my mouth with his lips. "We have no regrets. that we go knowing we spent every last drop." When someone threatens Claire's support system she becomes a fighter, "say it," I growl and she snaps her gaze to mine. "Say it and prepare to never effing see me again. Belittle Emmett, be disgusted with him for sleeping with me. I know you want to." I did wish that the ending went on a little bit longer I would have loved to see what happens between Claire and her family.

Octavian's Undoing by Airicka Phoenix

Riley she's just a sweet little thing, "I'm sorry and no offense, but I'd like to give it to him personally. There are some very important things inside and I'd feel better knowing he got them. Not saying that you wouldn't give it to him, but..." Octavian, he's well possessive maybe, "you dare out your hands on what's mine, Billius?" Octavian is nothing but honest (well in some instances), "I was shocked as hell to see you here, you, a human...my human in a place that could get you killed. I didn't want you to be where you are right now. I was trying to protect you." He looked down. "You should have listened to me." The way he talks, it's like melt in your panties way, "baby, I felt you. It took all my self-control not to turn around and pull you into my arms. Scared the hell out of me. Why do you think I didn't notice my wallet missing until I walked into the diner and say you there?" I mean REALLY melt in your panties, "you better stop or I'll show you what I can handle and I can promise it won't be slow or gentle." He's also so protective I mean no one messes with his woman, "she didn't mean to," Octavian hissed. "She's still a baby and still needs to learn how to control herself. You can't think she would ever hurt Daphne deliberately." Whelp get to writing Airicka I'm ready for Gideon's story.

Man of Steel by MJ Fields

Normally I don't read novellas as they're just to short for me but when I saw the cover I knew I had to read it. Jase he's just all sorts of bossy, and I like it, "Carly, it's Jase. I must have grabbed yours by mistake. Meet me at the beach so we can switch phones, ten minutes." He seems to always get what he wants, I'm not sure if I like that in a man yet, "yes, I told you I wanted to hang out, and by that I meant you and me, not everyone else." Jase is a sarcastic little s***, "yes Carly, my mom owns a little shop on the boardwalk. She also does tattoos." Jase smirked at me, "I had your name tattooed on my a**." Jase I guess his thoughtful, "I broke up with her so we could spend time together. I am not a cheater, and either are you. Climb up on the board, we will deal with her together," Jase patted the board. "Tick tock baby. I won't let her hit you Carly." And there was a cliffhanger everyone knows how much I love them (not).

Rock Chick Regret by Kristen Ashley

Hector I would say is a little more possessive then the other men in this series, "this means she's mine. No on touches what's mine. And they sure as eff don't beat her, rape her and leave her broken. Did you see her effin' house?" He's a real appreciative guy as well, "you put my mark on you. To show my appreciation, I'm gonna eff you until you scream my name and I wanna make sure you remember it. Now, how effin' drunk are you?" He's also a bossy a**, like seriously, "you just agreed to move in, that means you just agreed to officially becoming my woman. I take care of my woman. I pay the mortgage, I pay the bills, I fix up the house. We go out, I pay. Your money is for you. I take care of us." Damn I want a man like that. Although this is the last book in the series (so far) I hope there's more there's still Ally's story that we need and a few more men from the hot bunch that we need to hear about.

Repossession by Rachael Wade

I liked this book a lot the ending upset me mainly because there was a damn cliffhanger and I didn't get what I was hoping for to happen. Jet he made the book for me, "yes, I'm a mutant alien creature here to take you aboard the Mother Ship. I'm packing heat." He kept me entertained through out the book, "well, what you want and what's actually going to happen are two very different realities." He's honest, "I couldn't, because my need to be near you, to protect you, is so effing strong, it knocks the wind out of me. It's physically impossible for me to walk away from wherever you are. No woman has ever done that to me. It makes me crazy made, okay?" Sky that girl as Jet would say is full of piss and vinegar, "did you not just see me on that screen? I can't stand the thought of an animal suffering, let alone a human being. Now, I'd like to speak to him. Please." I'm so ready for the next one in the series!

Lyon's Angel by Jordan Silver

I'm so glad to get this book although the first one didn't have a big cliffhanger I was still anxiously waiting for this one. It is so good to see Kat and Colton again, maybe more Colton then Kat lol. He's still as sweet as ever, "hi baby you almost done, it's almost lunch." He loves his woman, and he talks about her fondly, or maybe thinks about her, "I held her hand as Stacy started on her back; my baby is just a little bit squeamish when it comes to needles, something she hadn't shared with me until lately." He's also really bossy (more than usual) "what the eff...Katarina which part of what I just said did you not get; this is not up for discussion I have s*** to do you're going where I put you end of story." I love this book more then the first one probably because of all the different point of views we get to see.

Bully by Penelope Douglas

The book was so strong that I had to read it a few times before I could get any coherent thoughts on it, and by a few times I mean four lol. I love when a female character comes back from somewhere and is all ballsy and what Tate had to put up with from Jared it made me so proud of her, "Jared, I appreciate the effort you're putting in here, but it's unnecessary. Contrary to what your ego is blowing you up with, I've been surviving just fine without you for the last three years. I work better alone, and I would not appreciate your help today or any other day. We're not friends." What I love most about this story is how Jared was just hiding behind his s*** and finally gets balls to tell Tate what's really going, but what really stole the story was Tate's coming out of her shell kind of thing. Even though Jared does so much s*** to Tate I really couldn't help but love him he just says things that make you swoon, "your beauty is nothing compared to how you look when you come." Tate the girl grows balls and uses them especially when she thinks someone is moving in on her man, "rounding Jared's car, I came up to Piper and grabbed her by the hair. I forced her away from his window and pushed her ahead of me." This book everyone should read!
