Asher loved him right off don't care about his past or other crap about him just love him, "you know, don't you, that by dancing with me, you're going to make people whisper about you all night?" He's well, he's considerate, "sure, I want to do a lot of things. But sweetheart, you don't know a damn thing about me." Oh Asher you amuse me so damn much, "Not like N'Sync. Jesus, watch where you hurl those things. Words hurt, Maggie." He really cares for this girl, "because I had you up against the fridge with your dress hiked up around your waist. Because I didn't even take my goddamned shoes off, because whether you believe it or not, you deserve more than that." Asher is either very possessive or protective or just hates Will, "I want to put a hole in the wall of William Bailey's fancy-a** house. I want to break his porcelain serving platters and shatter his crystal." Of course Asher and Maggie have their issues with a few surprises, but love always makes it worth the fight.

Maverick by Anna Cruise
I think this is the first book that Anna has put very naughty scenes in well I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! Kellen as we know is a guy and well I guess he's a boob man, "she did have cleavage. Very nice cleavage." Gina doesn't take Kellen's bada** attitude she gives it right back to him, "do you have anything else to say besides OK? Anything more than one syllable?" Gina is an interesting character underneath this tough exterior you know she's been through some crap in her life and she tries to always remain professional. "I kinda figured. One will be delivered to you tomorrow," she said. "And, yes, you're paying for that, too." Kellen has this way about him that ladies can't help but fall in love with and Gina is no exception, "you're a hell of a lot better looking than Heath," I said and she blushed even more. "Maybe I'll stick with date. Makes me sound less 'available'." He's also a very vocal person, "I don't wanna do anything this early in the morning except sleep." He closed his eyes. "And have sex with you. Those two things." I read Anna's other bookie, "It Was You" and I enjoyed it but this one I enjoyed so much more.
Breathe Me by Alexia Purdy
As always I fell in love with Sasha, just like all the other men Alexia writes about (she just makes them so dreamy,) "the hell you are. You're shivering, like a wet terrier. If heights aren't your thing why in the world did you hop on the Ferris wheel? You never did like it." We know that Sasha and Piper have a past (which makes things totally more interesting) but what we didn't know was how badly it hurt Piper, "you said you're sorry. Okay. Fine. I can respect that;. Once we get off this ride, we go on with our lives and your torment ends. I'm so happy for you." What really made me love Sasha was the fact that he wasn't gonna give up on this girl, "Piper, I want another chance. I'll make it right, I swear. You'll never be sorry if you give me another chance to love you the way you deserve. I won't be the fool this time. I'll be there, no matter what the cost. I swear it." What is a story without a cray-cray sister who you can't help but love, "what were you thinking? You slept with him and then you ran away like a frightened kitty when he makes you breakfast and treats you like a queen? What the hell is the matter with you?" Another great story from Alexia I really loved it.
Tragic by JA Huss
Right off the bat we know Rook has issues, and that she is a fighter, "that I have a job, period. That I'm not out on the streets, that I'm not a victim, that I'm not scared s***less that Jon will somehow find me." Ronin he's an interesting character and it was fun being in his mind, "he's got all the stereotypical attributes like, selfish, a**hole, romantic, a**hole, creative, a**hole, temperamental, a**hole. I could go on and on, what what's the point. He's an a**hole." I think we got that the first million times you told us Ronin lol. I really like Ronin I thought he would be a cocky a**hat but so far he seems pretty decent, "that grin says we have to stick together or they will overpower us. They being woman, us being men. he's forever on this guy thing with me, like we are in some secret fraternal society." You can also tell how protective Ronin is of Rook, "is she afraid of the dark? Did she slip and fall and knock herself out? Did she forget to turn them off and fell asleep?" I hate cliffhangers why did this book have GRRR I thought it was a stand alone, but I loved it just the same.

BLOG TOUR REVIEW/GIVEAWAY: Chica Bella by Carly Fall
Right off I feel as though Landon is a decent guy, "But you listen to me," Landon said, "I love you like a brother from a different mother, but you work your a** off to find that replacement." He also seems to have suaveness about him, "well then, you need to come to dinner to find out more about me. I'm a fascinating guy." MHMM did I mention the tattoo he has? "The tattoo on his right shoulder was simply a skull and bones." I mean it seems he would do anything for Maya, "he smile. "We'll get room service." Hell, he would pluck down the moon and a star out of the sky for her if that was what she wanted." I want me a man like that, that will go to whatever depths to make me happy, it shows something about a man's character. I mean you can tell how deep he is in for this woman, "Sweet Jesus, Joseph, and Mary. Seeing her made him certain that there was a God, and based on the ugliness he had seen, he had sometimes doubted it."
BLURB:
Landon “Blackhawk” Walker is ready to get out of the Navy SEALs. He has seen and done enough, and can’t wait to get to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico where three tasks await him: get back into civilian mode, take a boat out to the El Arco Rocks, and win back the heart of the woman he lost because of his career.
Maya Gonzalez has tired of the heartbreak that comes with Landon’s deployments year after year. When he walks back into her life, she cannot deny her heart, despite her reservations.
As they lose themselves in each other and the beauty of Cabo, their passion is rekindled once again, but Maya knows that one phone call means deployment for Landon, putting an end to their reunion, and possibly their relationship.
EXCERPT:
“Where were you?” she finally asked, her voice quiet.
“Afghanistan.”
He didn’t look at her, but he felt her body tense next to his. “Were you hurt?”
He shrugged, but then thought better of trying to blow off her questions. Maya had always said she wanted nothing but honesty from him, and he had been the one to offer this Q&A.
“I took some shrapnel in my chest, but it was all superficial.” He gazed down at her as she studied his chest as if she could see the wounds he was talking about.
“Did you kill?” she whispered, her stare never leaving his chest.
Dammit. This was the part he hated because she abhorred violence, but killing was his job. If he didn’t take out the bad guys, they would kill American soldiers, and he would be damned if that happened on his watch. “Yes.”
She closed her eyes for a moment.
“Did you think of me?”
“Oh, God, Maya.” He put his finger under her chin and turned her face to his. Her brown eyes sparkled with tears that made his heart feel as though it might quit beating. “Maya, it’s always you. It’s thinking of you that made me want to stay alive. It’s the thought of your smile, your face, your body pressed up against mine that kept me warm at night, the sound of your laughter that made me smile when I felt like I couldn’t smile again. Maya....”
He didn’t know what else to say, so he did what he had wanted to do since the day he left her almost a year ago.
He brought his lips to hers.
He brought his lips to hers.

hearts in Darkness by Laura Kaye
Caden I like him A LOT, "his day has been a complete pisser." Who says that anymore? Haha I liked it. Even though Caden is a bada** he still has his weaknesses one being a no lighted, elevator that's stuck, but I'm here for ya Caden." Oh Caden your just too good, "hell, I don't know. How about that game of twenty questions." He has tattoos, which makes me automatically love him, "fine. The whole dragon's on my arm and it's head's on the back of my hand. Now, is it my turn, Counselor?" He does get himself into some pickles, "um, s***, that didn't come out right either. I mean, you are pretty, but of course pretty girls can be smart. I mean - s***, I'm just gonna stop talking now." In the elevator there's so much chemistry between the two:
"I'm twenty-five."
"A mere babe."
"Shut up, old man."
Caden really does take my breath away, "woman," he said against her lips, "would you let me talk already?"
