The Breakup by Erin McCarthy
Sometimes Bella shocks the he** out of her man, “I don’t want a counselor. I don’t even want to talk.”She looked over at me from under those long eyelashes. “I just want you to eff me until I forget everything.”Now that almost had me driving off the road." Christian really wonders about his woman at times, “first of all, why is that so horrible? Second of all, who the h**l do you hang around with? I’m not going to just pull my ***k out and wave it around in the woods.” Sometimes Bella is just too cute for her own good:
“Oooh, look, puppies.” They were behind a baby gate, tumbling over each other in a blur of brown-and-butter-colored fur. “Puppies. No. I am not getting you a puppy.”
“I never said I wanted a puppy.” Though the idea had merit. “But now that you mention it, I do have a house and I do live alone. Maybe I need a guard dog.”
One of the puppies was biting the other’s ear. “Yeah, these guys look terrifying.” He rolled his eyes.
I loved this book, but I wished there were more moments with Christian and his son and the interactions that Bella would have with them.
