I liked that Sara could see through Chris's facade, "no, you’re not. And stop trying to be so stupid macho.” She gave him a withering look. “It’s too late to try to impress me. I saw you cry like a little girl when your horse broke his leg and had to be put down." Sometimes Sara has to be the voice of reason, "why don’t you take a shower while I’m gone? I don’t know about you, but I have mulch in my underwear, and I can’t wait to take a hot shower." I liked this book I liked the relationship Sara and Chris had.
