Jabril by D.B. Reynolds

I didn't like Jabril (and I don't mean the book I mean the vampire) so I focused on Cyn and Raphael and I was brought to much happier times with them, "she shifted on the narrow bed, ready to sit up, when a familiar arm curled around her waist to hold her in place. "Is this my punishment or yours sweet, Cyn?" he murmured." I mean the boy is just plain affectionate when it comes to his girl, "a growl rumbled deep in Raphael's chest, and he reached out to pull her between his spread legs, his uninjured arm snaking around her back, fingers splayed over her butt to press her close." And the boy will move heaven and hell to rescue what's his, but he knows when he needs to be supportive and show that support, "they would have done the same to me." His arms tightened around her, and she let her arms circle his waist. He was wearing a long, silken robe and nothing else. She didn't remember him changing. "You're not wearing any clothes." I mean distraction is the best policy from all that drama. I think I'll like this series.
