The thing I love about the New Species series is how blunt they are and the fact they don't lie, "I usually sleep without any clothing but I am properly covered." He glanced down before meeting her gaze again. "My di** is hidden." Wrath right off he cares about Lauren and I think for what he went through in his past it may scare him and he's nervous about the feelings he feels for her and the fact he's not sure how to handle her, "you have an expressive face and I saw pain, as if I rejected you. That's not the case. My control isn't very good in the mornings until I shower and eat. Never think I don't want you, Lauren. I just don't think it's safe for you to be in here with me right now." He's protective, "I'm sorry. I was curious. I do believe you." His hand dropped to his side. "You need to get ready. Is your animal safe in the bathroom? I won't snarl at it. I was startled and I thought it would attack you." He always puts her first and I really loved that, "I'm sorry but your care and well-being are my first priority. You are hungry, your stomach sounds reminded me that you haven't eaten and I'd be a bad mate if I didn't make sure all your needs were met." He inhaled, puffed his chest and a stubborn streak shone in his stare. "I will learn to be the best mate."
