Let Me Protect You by Jessica Cage

Normally I don't read novella's but I couldn't help but read this one the author is just sweet as pie and I couldn't say no and the cover is pretty lol. Martell you could tell he had a good heart and he has a nice sense of humor, "I suppose there could have been an ax murderer chasing you down, in which case I wouldn't have had time to phone the authorities anyway. Luckily for us, I happen to own a shotgun and I know how to use it." He has the urge to always do the right thing, "he couldn't explain it, but he wanted this woman, this total stranger, to feel safe with him." He does things to a girl that make you squirm (in the good sense,) "let me protect you." He softly whispered to her." He also has a temper, "because it belongs to you, and just to be clear Trish, I consider is an insult. Really? A check, as if everything I did for you, everything that happened, or almost happened, boiled down to a few numbers on a piece of paper." I would have been insulted as well.
