The Protectors Duncan by Teresa Gabelman

Duncan he comes off as an a** but I overlook that because he's just going out of his mind looking for someone he loves, "first off, get your big-a** feet off my desk before I break your legs." He knocked them off anyway before Sid could comply. "Second of all, I'm fine. So go and tell your women thanks, but...butt out." He's a possessive sort as well, "the hell you will," Duncan growled down the back of her neck. "You are mine, and I will not let you go this time." The whole gang is in the book but it's Sid that always captures my heart with his smarta** comments, "you too!" Sid walked in just as Duncan pulled Pam off him. "Did you not read Sid's Kitchen Law? I swear there is more screwing around in this kitchen than there is eating. Maybe I need to start charging by the hour. I can make serious cash flow off you guys." Personally I think the boy is jealous that he doesn't have a woman. Duncan is a considerate sort, "the first time I take you is going to be in our bed." He looked down at her, his eyes black with desire. "Then, we will make our way into my office where I have dreamed of making love to you on my desk." I really can't wait for Sid's book!

It's Complicated by Julia Kent

I have found a new author that I can't wait to read her stuff and Julia happens to be that author. Josie I like her she's an honest one, "um, no. I kill house plants and the only reason my cat is still alive is because he's smarter than I am." The situation that she meets Alex in is well quite funny how it happens, and she's one that loves to tease her friends, "daddy Mike? That's what you're calling each other? Daddy Mike and Daddy Dylan?" She's also honest with what she wants from Alex at certain times, "now that you know their names," she whispered against his mouth, "are we done with all the 'not sex' parts, and can we move to the 'sex parts'?"  I loved seeing Darla and her men in this book as well, I'd actually really would like a second book with them.

Coming Back to You by Devon Youngblood

This book is about second chances and one part of the book totally reminded me of "The Notebook." To say Maura is still upset that happened to her and Pierson in the past is saying it lightly, "well, look what the cat dragged in. It's so nice to see you after all these years." Pierson is still gung-ho for his girl though, "I saw you here the other night, and tonight was about all I could handle. I don't want you dancing with anyone else." He's also possessive, "I haven't either, so what's the problem? I want to reclaim what's mine." The book deals with a serious issue and how two characters help one another get through it.

Breeze of Life by Kristy Dallas

We all know I have a pretty cover problem, see one I have to read the book, but when I read the blurb I had to talk to the author about my concerns before reading the book, and well I'm glad I read the book. It's about strength, and having a friend that lifts you up in the crappiest of times to get you through. Bree has conflicted feelings and well she's down in the dumps at the start of the books, "I didn't want to be Harper's drunken mistake, so I had pushed him away and straight into the arms of his ever reliable eff buddy Naomi." Harper he cares for Bree and needless to say he's upset to find something out is well... saying it lightly, "I'm so pi**ed at you right now, baby girl. I want to yell and scream and spank your a** red. But you know what's worse than feeling all that anger?" He's there not only to cheer her up but to perhaps make her see that she's being to harsh on herself, "eff, Bree, will you give it a effing rest with the death s***! Yeah you've got cancer and it sucks, it's effing unfair! I hate that you are sick and I hate that you're scared and sad, but you need to quit with this bulls*** because at the end of the day you are being selfish." See the boy gets straight to the point and doesn't hold back. And on certain things he REALLY doesn't hold back, "seriously, Breeze, your underwear is giving me a semi, I can't believe you let George wash this. In fact, never again, if you need your clothes washed I'll damn well do it." So nice of him. He's also very intent on his feelings for his girl, "if I wasn't trying damn hard to keep my hands to myself, I would be slamming this door shut and effing you six ways to Sunday." This book is really worth the read there are a few heart stopping moments, but not enough to keep me from getting this in paperback.

Not a Chance by Carter Ashby

There's a lot of what I think is sexual frustration between Travis and Arden or they just totally hate each other, "that's just it, Arden. I'm not a strange man. You and me have lived in this tiny hick town all our lives. We go to the same church, for Christ's sake. We're even friends with some of the same people... although certainly not at the same time. All I'm saying is, drop the kidnapped princess act and let's be like normal people for tonight. Okay?" Travis is also a sensitive guy with lots of wisdom for Arden, "if you gave away all your money, it might help a few people for a little while, but this world would still be a shitty place to live with tough breaks and hard times everywhere you turn. Just be glad you've got what you've got and do your best to be a good person. No sense feeling guilty." He's also flirtatious, "he turned around and grinned. "I look pretty good out of it too, if you care to come find out." He's cocky, "its obvious," said Travis, "that since your pride won't allow you to admit your love for me, your confounded emotions are manifesting themselves in frequent outbursts of anger and frustration."

Dangerous by Suzannah Daniels

For a YA novel there was a lot of sexual tension which I like in my books. Stone I liked him, he was a complicated character there's a lot of s*** he was dealing with and Dara helps out with his issues just like Stone helps out with her issues. Stone is a funny guy, "you wouldn't want to accidently cut yourself," he explained as he held my gaze. "The smell of blood sends me into a frenzy, as well, I'd hate to sink my fangs into that pretty, little neck of yours." I liked being inside his mind, "I decided right then and there that Dara would look good no matter how her hair was fixed and no matter what type of clothing she wore." Dara she's a cool chick she has the type of relationship I have with my Granny, "my granny happens to be very cool. She couldn't knit a sock or make a quilt if it were the key to a man's heart - not that knitting and quilting aren't cool." Stone is also upfront what he wants from Dara (well part of the time) "hell, no. I want you to be my girlfriend." When Dara is pi**ed she lets Stone know, "let me explain," I said, pointing my finger at him. "You humiliated me in front of all my friends. You were on a date with me, but you left me standing there like an idiot while you left with her. Who does that? Oh, wait...a pompous rakehell, a selfish cad, an arrogant asshat... that's who. Do you know what those words mean or do you want me to hand you a dictionary?" I'm ready for book two when it comes out.

It Was Me by Anna Cruise

I was so glad when I heard Abby and West were getting a second story, and that it was going to be in West's point of view. There are certain males that I love getting inside their head and West was one of the males that I loved being in his head and seeing his point of view on things. Although there were times in the book I wished we would get Abby's point of view especially in a certain situation. But I really enjoyed West's mind, "I wasn't saying they're bad. I know they aren't. But I wasn't looking to celebrate with a week of celibacy." I mean he just has a way with words, "first chance we get, Abs. I'm laying you
down on that bed and I won't tease you." How naughty. And of course Abby always gives us nice visuals of our hunky West, "no, I'm serious. Your chest and stomach, all slick with sweat. Your hair pushed back. Your skin all warm." She took a deep, ragged breath. "You don't even know." And of course there were the really naughty thoughts when the parents weren't listening, "yes," I whispered, my eyes lock with Abby's. "I need to eff your daughter." There were twists and turns and I think it would be interesting to get a third installment of these two but this time with BOTH point of views.

Unteachable by Leah Raeder

I enjoyed Maise's story and being in her mind, "yes. Your a man, a very pretty one who's being very nice to me, and I don't know what the hell I'm doing." The girl has a way with words, "and the reason I need that class," I said, "is so I can get the eff out of this town." Evan you know I thought he was a decent guy, and you call tell how much he cares for her, "I don't know what to do," he said. "You tell me what you want. You can transfer to another class. Or I can - I can submit my resignation, right now. I'll do it. Just give me the word." And Maise can see through his bullsh**, "don't give me that fake boy scout routine," I said. "You're sitting there with a hard-on." I don't really mind age differences in stories but Evan he was just weird, and not to mention he wasn't honest with Maise from the beginning, I understand why he didn't but he still should have. This story is about a girl going after her dreams and falling in love along the way, about having courage to break through expectations and make new ones.

Easy to Love You by Megan Smith

In "Trying Not to Love You" we were left with a cliffhanger, we finally get to see what went down, in Hunter's point of view and it clears up a lot of what happened in the incident, which I might say I'm grateful for because I'm the type of person that likes details. So the first few chapters are a rough read. You could tell how much Kenzie means to Hunter, "what the eff is happening in there?" He's also a determined man when it comes to his son and girl, "yeah, I'm not leaving unless they're both with me." Kenzie, she's still a firecracker, and will not let no one stand between her and her man, "tomorrow please and just so you know by the end of the week, I won't need your assistance. I'll figure out a way to this on my own." I liked when Hunter and Kenzie are together, they're playful and seem at ease, "be careful," I laughed. "You might get breast milk all over you. God only knows when this sh** stops, I'm not even breast feeding." And when sometimes happens between her brother and BFF she's always there the good, the bad, and the punching a girl in the face for taking something to far or doing something at all, "I walked up to Lily and punched her straight in the face." I'm seriously looking forward to Mason and Hailey's story.

The Redemption of Callie & Kayden by Jessica Sorensen

First off Kayden's mom is a bi***, "Kayden Owens, I will not let you ruin this family's reputation. Now fix this mess." She grabs the blanket and flings it off me. "Get up, go to therapy, and prove you're not a threat to yourself." Like seriously she's an unfeeling bi***, "no, he's the guy you beat up." She picks up the creamer and pours into her coffee. "Now quit arguing. This is how your father's handling it. And be grateful that he's handling it." Caleb that boy just needs to shut the eff up and die, "then I hear Caleb say, "oh, so she didn't ditch you. I guess she's turning into a sl** then." Kayden he's just I love him even though he's going through things he's just still so hot, "I slip my tongue inside her mouth and she opens her lips to let me in deeply. I devour her, realizing how starved I've felt for over the past month. I press her closer as I back us into the wall, our legs tangling as we fight to keep our balance." Holy hell HOT! We always see a different side of Callie when she's with Kayden more at ease, more playful, "I don't know." She scales up my body. "Guys are known for their filthiness, aren't they." This book was an emotional read but I have a feeling there's going to be another book as Callie and Kayden's story is only half done.

Travis by Nicole Edwards

Reading this book was kind of a...well it was something. I wasn't used to reading this type of material. I gave it a try and well the story was well told but I don't think books with menage' is my type of thing. Kylie I loved her, she knows how to hold her own, "I'm pretty sure your actions speak louder than your words, Mr. Matthews. I have nothing more to say to you." I mean she really knows how to hold her own, "eff you, Gage. I don't owe you a damn thing. If you want the story, why don't you talk to Travis? You obviously know him much better than I do. And I have nothing left to say to either of you." There's a lot anger in Kylie for what happened ten years ago and honestly I don't blame the poor girl, "what do you want me to say, Travis? I've managed to mind my own business all these years, letting you walk away because because you chose to do so only to have your friend show up on my doorstep and flip my world upside down. I'm fine. I figure that's a polite way of putting it." There's so much chemistry between Gage, Travis, and Kylie that it's no wonder the girl gets sucked right back to Travis, "I'm willing, Kylie. Don't doubt that," he whispered. "But you're gonna have to take what you want, baby." As I said the story was good but I don't think it was my type of genre, but I'm a sucker for country boys so I'm sure I'm going to read the rest of the books in this series.

Friday Night Alibi by Cassie Mae

What a cute, fun read! When we met Chase I fell right in love with him, "hello?" He smiles and taps his fingers against the edge of the table. "Did my charming opening line sweep you off into silent fantasies?" Kelli has got some major balls and I just enjoyed reading about her tactics, "tossing the ball in the air, I whack it as hard as I can across the net. It hits his right butt cheek so hard, the smack! echoes through the court." There were times I felt for Kelli, "I'm not a friend or girlfriend or priority tonight. Because it's Friday. I'm only one thing. An alibi." Chase he's a great guy you can totally fart in front of him and he doesn't care, "I told you, I don't care. People fart. You fart, I fart, we all fart." Reminds me of the book 'Everybody poops.'

The Singing River by R.K. Ryals

I liked this book so much, and since the beginning of the book I was so gunning for Haven and River to get their issues worked out and be together. Haven she's just so pure there was literally nothing, flaws or otherwise wrong with her, she just had this perspective on life and you couldn't help but fall in love with her. River he's trying to do what's right by his family's name and not really in it for himself, that is until Haven comes along and challenges him, and makes him see things in a different view. Haven she's just...I loved her, "well, I know I ain't gotta, but you know how I hate taking free stuff without paying, and I'm thinking about those vegetables in that garden of yours." She's also not one to hold things back, "I'm stronger than I look, but I'm also not afraid to admit my weaknesses. I can give you the boxes from up here, but you're definitely more able to carry them." Sometimes I think it was the River (no not River himself) that brought the two together, it was like it knew these two souls needed each other. I'm also hoping for Roman's story to come next.

Reasons I Fell For the Funny Fat Friend by Becca Ann

I loved being in Brody's mind I always like being in a guys mind because the thoughts are always unfiltered, "one quick glance around the room and a shift later, nuts are in the right place and no one seems to have noticed." Hayley she's a character and I can relate to her so much, and her outburst are very entertaining, "look at your arms!" She head nods toward them. "You're not like on any sports teams and you're totally muscular." Brody's brother is such an arse! "Have fun with your girl. Didn't peg you as a chubby chaser, but whatever gets your action. Might help with your attitude." The things Hayley is going through is the stuff I went through and am still going through, "It doesn't make sense. Why would anyone choose the fat girl over the skinny one?" She grips my hand and stares me down. "You tell me that, and maybe...maybe I can allow myself to feel the things I want to feel for you." You know I really REALLY could feel what the girl was going through, "you deserve someone who you can brag about to your friends. Someone who's not embarrassing to be with. Someone who you want to shout out to the world you love them." And of course Brody is such a guy, "when I let my eyes rake over every curve, every part of her, and yeah, I check out her boobs way longer than she likes, but can you blame me?"

Near & Far by Nicole Williams

Another great job by Nicole, I loved Jesse and Rowen in the first book so I was real glad to get a second book. We meet some new characters in this book and Alex that girl is a hoot, "what? You were keeping yours to yourself. Really, Rowen, when a half-naked man like this delicious boy-toy of yours is standing half-naked in the kitchen, someone's got to not keep their hands to themselves. Men like him weren't put on this planet so that women could keep their hands to themselves." Isn't that the truth ladies. Garth he kind of grew on me in this book, "eff filters," Garth said. "Filters are for guys who leave their testicles on their girlfriend's nightstand when they get up to leave." I mean he and Jesse seem to be bonding a lot more since the incident that happened in the first book, "dammit, Jess! Jerking off is not a joking matter!" Like seriously though I really enjoyed Garth in this book I want him to have his own book, "fine. he didn't say co**. Only a real man with a legitimate one uses co** when speaking about what swings between the knees. I think Jesse said little willy or wee one or something like that." This time around we got to be in Jesse's mind and his mind was entertaining, "because I want to be with my girlfriend, alone, and I wouldn't mind repeating some of the things we've done there before. Like skinny-dipping. And what follows skinny-dipping.

Resplendent by MJ Abraham

Andres I love him I really do but the boy comes off as a strong one, "what else do you need effing pills for, Savannah?" I scowled." Isn't he just charming? The book is told in both points of view, so I liked seeing what was happening in both their minds. Andres he's protective of Savannah, even when they were younger, "it is for the girls! What do I care? You know why guys go? To get laid! Which takes me back to my question. Who is taking you?" Carmin, I didn't like her at all that lying s**nk! What the hell was the bi*** thinking she could have ruined both Savannah and Andres lives! But that's okay, Savannah grows some balls and puts her in her place, "My fiancee is keeping my bed warm at night, attending to his daughter, and is no concern to you." Damn straight you tell the bi*** girl! I loved this book, do I kinda wanna see Carmin get a book of her own yes and no, yes because I want to see her work her s*** out and no because she just pi**ed me off.

BOOK BLAST REVIEW: Emerge by S.E. Hall

REVIEW:
So this book actually was better than what I was expecting it to be. I mean love triangles I just freakin' hate them, but in all honesty this book wasn't all that bad with that situation. Evan at first you know I liked him (yes that means he kinda became a weenie as the book progressed) "not a chance, woman. You're the worst driver I know, especially when you're mad, and I'd just as soon get home alive. Hand 'em over." You know Evan isn't a bad guy so don't be thinking that it's just I think he was the perfect boyfriend while they were in high school, and not for college. Laney you know she get's to college meets some new people, makes some new friends, I have to say the one that I love the most would have to be Sawyer, "sorry! But seriously, Laney. Hot girl says she's putting on pajamas, I'm thinking she's gonna show me her secrets, like sweet Victoria. So what are you wearing?" You know being in college and experiences what's a few minor, well okay MAJOR freakouts, "I can't go in there. My room's been taken over by two happy people who remind my heart is bleeding every time they speak. Zach isn't home, you invaded Sawyer's room with your Barbie, and the person who knows me best in the whole wide world apparently lost my number! That or the skank he's banging, which I basically told him was okay, keeps sending me straight to his voicemail." Dane I loved him and in all honesty I think he's the better fit for Laney, "I will never kiss another man's girl..but you're not his, Laney. You're not mine...yet. But you're not his, either. So the way I see it, you're kissable." Sometimes Dane has to tell Laney how things work in a relationship, "baby," I say as I drop a kiss to her forehead, "you can plan our dates, tell me what to wear, run the radio," I wink, "you can even name our kids one day...after Disney characters even. But in the bedroom, the hot tub, against the wall or basically anywhere I have you naked and wet...let me lead." Sometimes a man needs to take the lead and that is what Dane does.

Blurb-
No sooner than Laney Walker and her long-time best friend Evan Allen finally delve into romantic feelings for each other, college sends them packing, miles apart. Never the social butterfly, Laney is slow to adjust to life with a new softball team, crazy roommate and co-ed dorm. Without the support system of her Dad and her Evan, she's left to cope with diving into the real world on her own.
Just when she thinks nothing could tear her apart from her old life any further, she meets the mysterious, debonair Dane Kendrick and her heart is left divided.
The familiar love she shares with Evan has always been easy and sweet, but she can't help wondering what would happen if she let go and took a leap of faith into what she never knew she wanted? A jump that Dane seems more than happy to help her through.

The Arrangement 9 by H.M. Ward

With this series I kinda well jump the gun and read the last page before I read the rest, I know, I know naughty me, but hey I need to prepare my emotions for certain rounds of Avery VS. Sean moments. Seriously Avery is just cray cray, "“No! Stop lying to me! I can’t take it anymore!” And well Marty he just doesn't help matters worse, but honestly I think he is trying to mend broken fences, “I’m trying to help you. If I’d known you’d go batshit crazy, I would have had Mel here. She’s going to kick my ass when she finds
out that I broke you.” I must say Mel has some great ideas on how to handle Sean, “You tackle him to the ground like a linebacker and shove the ring over his co**. Then you say, Marry me. Easy peasy.” Sean sort of seemed different in this installment maybe he's finally getting to the point that his girl may just walk away from him, “Eff, and you were with Marty, too? I’m not going to be able to let that guy walk around with his nuts intact, you know that, right?” The cliffhanger wasn't so bad in this one, because I have hope that this series will end soon and Sean and Avery will get their S*** worked out.

Two Thousand Miles by Jennifer Davis

This book was a cute, fun, quick read. There was one character that was a total bi*** and needed to be taken down a peg or two, "buck up, rich girl. We do sh** different down here. Get use to it of get lost." Ugh Dixie pain in my a**. The woman Kat is staying with while in Louisiana is a hoot, "my rule about drinkin' is, it has to be done here under my supervision," Dana said. "And if you drink, you don't drive." Mason I liked him but sometimes I just didn't think they boy had his head screwed on right and that's when Kat puts him in his place, "she threw freezing water on us yesterday and called me a sl**!" I lowered my voice. "We almost had sex last night, and today you're giving your ex-girlfriend rides. I knew I'd be thanking Garrett for stopping us. I've never been more grateful for anything in my life." Also I just Mason confuses me he's sweet and nice one minute and the next he's pi**ing me and Kat off, "so, if sleeping with me wasn't right, why did you do it last night? Did you feel sorry for me? Did your conscious force you to pity eff the girl with all the problems?" I'll say this I love when my female characters have balls and boy did Kat have balls.

Manic by J.A Huss

I thought this series was a two part kind of thing come to my surprise when I get to the end and there's a cliffhanger. I feel like Clare is a big fat elephant in Rook and Ronin's relationship, "maybe with most things, but not when it comes to Clare. Every time you ditch me it's for her." Ronin does love his girl, but sometimes I feel like it's all an act, "no, I mean, why buy one? I have two cars I never use. Just take one when you need it." He silence tells me she's got a problem with this. "Rook, I swear, if you say something stupid like I need my own car so you can't control me, I'll handcuff you to the bed and show you what domination really looks like." Rook she has balls, and knows how to take care of herself, "I'm not worried, Ford. Because if you touch me, I'll knee you in the balls so hard it'll be weeks before you can run stadiums again." Did I mention that big fat elephant of Clare in their relationship? "Just like that? Clare's in trouble so you drop everything, drop me, to go save her?" I mean he is kind of possessive of her, "no, Rook. Hating you is the last thing I'm thinking about. I'm thinking about how easy it would be for us to kill that mother-effer." Yea I really don't think Rook and Ronin have a healthy relationship need, I remind people of the big fat elephant in it?

Love of Truth by C.T. Oliver

What is it and books and cliffhangers! I just don't understand it. The book is told from both point of views and of course I love Craig's more, "okay, when I talk to her, I'm also going to have to talk to that dog about common courtesy, a.k.a No Co**-Block!" He's also a sweetheart, and caring, "hey, I know we haven't met, my name is Craig. I don't think you should drive if you're feeling frantic, and it looks like you don't want to let him go, so why don't I drive you?" He's also a playful guy, "oh baby, you keep teasing me like that and we're not going to get to the water at all today." He uhh.... like's his girl's panties to, "baby, you can't wear that. How am I supposed to focus on targets when I know you're wearing those under your pants." Amelia likes to shock her man at times, "Jesus, baby. You're not wearing any panties!" I rest my forehead against hers, trying to catch my breath. "You've been sitting next to me all night with no panties on." Amelia and Craig like to tease each and it's quite cute, "god baby. You're going to kill me one of these days with that look. Now, be good and let me get us home and then you can pick the movie, the flavors, the bed, the floor and whatever...Just hold on." I'm hoping there's going to be a second book since this one kind of ended not so well.

Inevitable by Angela Graham

I guess I set myself up with this one knowing there was a cliffhanger but two things happened one I ran out of reading material and two the cover is so pretty. Hilary you know every girl needs a friend like her, "exactly. It's been a year since that a**hole broke your heart. Time to get back out there and show off what the good Lord gave ya." My first thoughts of Logan was the boy was an extreme flirt and he's just cocky, "do you run every day this early? You're in great shape." His gaze wandered down my body, lingering on my legs and then back up, grinning. "Very nice shape." Cassie has a great head on her shoulders, "what part of him being a di** did you not understand the other day?" I answered, throwing my hands in the air. "I'm not going to be another notch on his bedpost!" You know Logan really pi**es me off a lot in this book he's just a cocky a** and a playboy yea he's into Cassie but he doesn't have balls to try and have a relationship, but Cassie she knows how to put him in his place, "a hotel? Really!" I hissed. "I'm a woman, not some piece of meat. I have no interest in going to some hotel, for some one-night stand with a man that cannot even talk about his own son without cringing. You can go around with your fancy cars and expensive suits but you have nothing I'm interested in!" Then Logan goes and does something stupid and honestly I think it's to late for him to make amends. "Don't kid yourself." He looked straight through me. "I'll never want anything more from you than your body. So either give me what I want -" He threw the condom at me and I watched it fall to my feet. "Or leave me the hell alone."

Matchplay by Dakota Madison

Rainy I loved her she had balls, "well, you can keep your moves to yourself or save them for some other girl because your chances with me are zero." She's also not hesitant to tell Aaron what she expects and wants, "what are we doing, Aaron?" I asked. "I don't want a part-time relationship; you're only with me when you're not with your friends. I want a real relationship with someone. I deserve to have someone, who is proud to call me his girlfriend. I want someone, who will stand up for me and stand up for us." Aaron is also a jealous boy, "in my mind, I keep seeing him holding your hand and touching you. It was driving me crazy. I wanted to be the one touching you and holding you and kissing you. Not him. Not anyone else." Sometimes it takes a right girl, and lots of obstacles to find what you're looking for. I'd be quite interested in having the story told from Aaron's point of view, and Lucas's story he deserves a happily ever after as well.

Rainwater Kisses by Krista Lakes

Owen when that man walks into a room his a** demands your attention, not grab it but demands it, "Kaylee, no more excuses. I want you to go parasailing with me, and then I want to hear all about being a physician's assistant." He's also a man that does his research, "Emma told me it was your favorite. I was going to get us reservations at a French restaurant, but she made sure I knew that you could be a grouch at the end of your shifts and I would be risking my life taking you anywhere nice in scrubs. So, I have comfort food and a bottle of wine in the car." Owen he kind of gets upset of dumb things when he was just sleeping, "I flew over twelve hours to get here, but you gave serious thought of going to work." I mean I understand where he's coming from but he was sleeping. He's protective though have to give him props for that, "are you alright, Kaylee? I'll come home right now, sandstorm be damned." He's also in love with his girl, "because it wasn't making me happy anymore. You make me happy. I couldn't bear the thought of taking another trip without you." That is so sweet. I love Krista's books and when I found out this was the second book after "Saltwater Kisses" you bet your a** I had to read it.

Too Fast by Alexia Haynes

Perfect combination that got me to read this book, hot book cover and free (smiles). When you read as fast as I do sometimes it helps to get the free books Amazon has to offer and this one was a great book, not a good one but a great one. Luke he's a totally cocky flirt, "you didn't finish your research, College Girl. The night doesn't end until both of us are up and out of bed. And," he said with a sexy smirk," our night isn't nearly finished." Savannah she's an upfront and honest person, "she certainly wasn't intimidated by me, but I guess when you've heard someone yelling 'Oh my God' and your brother's name over and over, you aren't going to be intimidated." Luke is also a pretty confident guy, "on Sunday, after I left your place, I put condoms everywhere. Just in case. Well, I put them everywhere I pictured us having sex. So everywhere." Cocky boy. I think these two were perfect for each other and the timing was great at meeting each other, but they just didn't know it. I would love to have Madison's story next.

Storm Damages by Magda Alexander

What happens when I read the table of contents and find out there's another book coming, well I jump the gun go to the end, find the damn cliffhanger and start to read the excerpt of the second book, was not pleased about the cliffhanger or the way the second book starts out, not pleased at all. And this all started because I think the cover is pretty! Pretty covers need to stop having damn cliffhangers! Gabe he's quite the charmer, "no need to apologize." His eyes crinkle at the ends. "Feel free to grab anything that meets your fancy." He's also considerate, "love, trust me. I'm hard as iron. And the way you're looking at me, I don't know if I can control myself. This way, you're in charge." He loves his woman, "you wouldn't have to work if you were mine." I kinda like that idea, I mean I've always been lazy though. He's also a jealous man, and a possessive one, "you allowed him to slobber all over you. In case you didn't notice, he spend most of the dinner ogling your ti*s." As I said earlier wasn't pleased with how it ended so the second book better get here fast.

Holding the Link by Hope Welsh

I actually think that this book was more entertaining than the first one. Cole he's still well Cole, "you don't really think I'd leave you alone, do you?" he demanded. "Come on darlin'. You know me better than that." He is still in love with Lana although they've only been together a few days but I guess shifters have a different feeling time span type thing (I have no idea what I'm trying to say, well I do it just doesn't come out right.) "so, talk to me. What do you want to know? We know we both like to read. We both like to watch old movies. We're sure as hell compatible in bed. Just talk to me." Yes being compatible in bed is very important don't want a sucky partner for the rest of your life. Cole is still just as playful as he was in book one, maybe even more so now that Lana and him are more comfortable around each other, "I don't think so," he growled and gave her bottom a pinch. "Behave, young lady." And I must say I was truly pleased with the ending because wait for it... NO CLIFFHANGER! YAY!

Linked by Hope Welsh

Damn cliffhanger. Cole I loved him, he's just so flirty, "no, just being cautious." He grinned widely. "Why? Did you miss me?" He also has a secret and when it comes out the boy tries so hard to save his a**, "I expected you'd react this way. I wanted to tell you," he started, but broke off at her knowing glare. "Okay, fine, I didn't. But this is exactly the reason why. You're looking at me as thought I've grown another he-" Lana is a saucy little thing that you can't help but love, "I'm still waiting on a reason to be afraid of you." Cole he loves his girl and he likes to show her that, "why don't we celebrate tonight by spending the rest of the evening in bed?" He nipped at her ear. "I think there are a few things I can give you early." Isn't that nice of him! I wasn't pleased with the ending, as it was a cliffhanger, but it is the first book in a series I do happen to have the next one so let's pray that there's no cliffhanger.

The Hunted Series by Hope Welsh

Devlin he's kind of a bad boy, I must say I was likin' it, "for this woman though, he considered the forbidden anyway. She was special - and not simply because she was one of the Chosen." He also doesn't really care about rules, "yes, he had the answer. He'd make her his - to hell with what the Elders would say." Sarah even though Devlin comes to her in her dreams the girl is totally head over heels in love with the vampire, "sometimes he made love to her slowly and gently. Sometimes he was rough and demanding...but always, he made sure that she found as much pleasure as he did." See that is the type of man we all need ladies! You can tell how much Devlin loves Sarah the boy would move Heaven and Hell for her if she asked, "tell me what you're afraid of, love. I don't think you're afraid of me. I would never cause you harm." There's an easiness about Devlin when he and Sarah are together, "no I haven't - well, not much. I'm sure I only yelled when you tried to brain me with a hammer. Remind me to never make you truly angry with me." This book was a quick read, it was fun, there was lots of sex (can't go wrong there) and it was an easy read.

Hailey she's a blunt person, "I found him in bed with my friend," I explained bluntly. "You?" Bennett is an honest guy, a cocky one but honest, "it's not nearly fast enough," he growled. "I've wanted you since I was sixteen." He also doesn't hide the fact that he's a vampire, "a vampire will only bite the woman he's going to spend his life with," he said quietly. "I'm not going to let you go. Your blood is mixed with mine, you belong to me." So possessive! Giles he's an a** and I'm kinda glad he got what was coming to him, "why, I'm going to rid the world of your who**. Then, I'm going after the who** Devlin mated with." What an a**! He's also very picky of what his woman wears out of the house, "I didn't seduce you. You wore the black leather. I had to help you change." He is oh so helpful. I do love this series these books are a quick fun read, that you can easily read while standing in a long a** line for coffee or something.

Catching Caitlin by Amy Isan

There are times I really need to stop choosing books based on there cover. I mean this book was okay but it didn't really do it for me, I mean Hugh he's on bada** mother-effer you know? But even with him in the story the book wasn't my cup of tea. I mean I still enjoyed reading about Hugh, "mmm, you look delicious," he said, under his breath. His eyes danced over me. "Feet up on my desk and everything? Getting it all dirty?" It kinda makes me wonder if he doesn't like things dirty... Anyway Caitlin well she fascinated me she's so good a keeping a really big, important secret, but she also shocked me in one scene as well, "would you be offended if I sucked your co**?" I mean really who asks a guy that, in all honesty would any man in this world be offended? No, I didn't think so either. I liked how the story was about second chance romance, but as I said it wasn't my cup of tea.

Poseidon by Kamery Solomon

I loved Zeus but I loved this one more! When are friend inboxed me to read and review a book and I found out it was this one by Kamery I so damn excited I almost peed myself. Yes that is how much I love the series. Audrey, she's a caring, thoughtful  "I already bought extra food for you," I rushed. "I figured you'd like a good, home cooked meal for a change. I saw the frozen dinners." The one thing I never really expected out of Audrey was jealousy, that really amused me, "it wasn't a date Mom," I sighed. "Which he made obvious when he spent the whole night with a bunch of other girls, who couldn't stop fawning over him. The fawning didn't seem to bother him, by the way." Sy he's well a man controlled by his emotions ladies and let me tell you the boy has a damn temper, I swear it is worse then my 4 yr old nephew's, "do you think I want to feel this way? I bet you just lie around and imagine how you're making me pin after you! Well, guess what? I don't want to have feelings for a widow! Especially one who can't let go of her dead husband!" He is one to also say what's on his mind which I like in a man, there's no beating around the bush with him ladies, "in your bikini. Red is a good color on you. Also, it's almost like you're parading around in your underwear for me, which I'm totally down with. You could do that for real if you wanted, by the way." That is so nice of him to give her permission! Now I got a hoot out of Hades and I seriously can not wait for his damn book to come out, "aw man," the man said, the flames dimming to almost nothing. "Athena, you have go to stop bringing every person you've wronged down here. It's not freaking Disneyworld." Yep I'm gonna love reading his story. Growing up I've always been into Greek Mythology it's always been one of my favorite subjects and there's so many different version about the myths out there and I do like a few but Kamery's versions happen to be my favorite. Of course in this installment there were heart stopping moments, and times I wanted to bi*** slap (mainly the author) for putting my emotions in turmoil, but other than those little incidents I loved the book.

Unbreakable by Rebecca Shea

There were some scenes in this book hard to read, as it hit the spot on a certain issue. BUT enough of the depressing things let's talk about Gabe and how the boy is quite the charmer, "you're beautiful, Jess. I'm not gonna lie, it's going to be hard for me to fall asleep tonight with the image of you standing in the doorway so fresh in my memory." Being in Gabe's mind is like watching Jerry Springer, it's entertaining, "I didn't expect to run a mile and a half. I may be a football please, a damn good one, but I am NOT a effing cross-country runner." He's kind of bossy, "I will tie you to my effing bed. You. Are. NOT. Going." He's also very particular on where he takes his girl, he likes to take her places that are acceptable and not ones where you order at a counter and wait for your number to be called, "we just ordered our food at a counter, and they gave us a number so they'd remember where to bring the food." I respond. "I wanted to bring you somewhere nicer than a pub." Of course then there's Landon he comes off as perhaps maybe an a**? "so how the eff do you two know each other?" And he likes handcuffs, "there's something about restraining people that really gets me excited." Kinky. And I totally know what scene the book cover is from (well I have my suspicions) I enjoyed this book and I'm kind of hoping we'll get Ava's story.

Perfecting Patience by Tabatha Vargo

I missed my Zeke, "yes...us. I'm okay in the morning, but the pri** downstairs will take a jab at you if you wake him." He's also still concerned about his girl, well I should say protective, "hold the eff on, man! My girl's naked in here." He also still has that mean temper BUT this time it's with good cause, "what's wrong with me? Are you seriously asking me that? You went to The Pit...alone. Every time you go there something happens to you. I spend the entire effing night worried about you." He's also one to jump up and save his girl, "what happened? Did someone hurt you? I'll kill whoever it was. Tell me who hurt you." This time roles were reversed will sort of Patience did need a little saving (maybe a lot) and it some parts it was her turn to take care of Zeke and he is worse than she was when needing to be taken care of let me tell you what. He's also considerate in this book (well he was in the last book as well, but just more so in this one) "how about I keep you up all night tonight, exhausting you until all you want to do is lie in bed all day tomorrow?" See totally considerate. I'm hoping Chet's story is next I'm kind of really looking forward to his.

Always by Ellery Rhodes

Lucas, he's something else, to me he's one of those guys who thinks he's God's gift to women, "okay, okay." He drummed his pencil on the table. "Don't get your panties all in a twist." Juliet she has her guard up and after what she's been through I don't blame her, "that I'm that kinda girl?" I snapped, grabbing my books stuffing them in my bag. "You say something sweet and I crawl into bed with you?" Lucas is just all around cocky, "baby, when I want to grab your a**, I'll grab your a**." That's just lovely but these two characters do care for each other and they do have baggage, out of the two of them Juliet's I'd say is more than Lucas's, "I really don't care about why you shut me out. It doesn't matter. Our past is just that--the past. Why I ever thought that I...that we..." This book does toy with your emotions, but name one good book that doesn't.

This Time Around by Ellie Grace

To say Nora has some hard feelings about the past her and Jake had well... that would be saying something, "of course not, you can do whatever you want...you always did anyway, right?" This story is told from both Jake and Nora's point of view and I actually like Jake's more, "I had to take a minute to collect myself before answering because, so help me God, she was wearing the hottest little whit bikini I'd ever seen and every perfect curve was on display." So much more entertaining, although Nora had her moments to, "ugh!" I wailed, not bothering to hide my frustration. "I don't want to be special... I want you inside me!" Susie, Nora's BFF that girl has no filter, "couldn't help by notice the drool pouring from your mouth while you ogled your man's goodies," she teased. "It's just like in high school when we used to get all hot watching their football games." I loved this book!

Out From Under You by Sophie Swift

This book was cute, charming, and funny. There were so many memorable characters Blake he's kind of a weird one, "um," Blake begins cautiously, "I hate to be the one to break this to you, but we're not exactly booming. We could easily have sex on the bar and no one would notice." He turns to me and cocks an eyebrow. "Actually, that's the best idea I've had all day." Lia her mind was pure entertainment, "do I have to be so effing obvious? Do I have to stare at his crotch like a horny dog?" She always has some issues going on which I can definitely relate to, "why? So you can see what a mess I am and feel better about yourself? So you can sleep soundly at night knowing that you picked the right sister." Alex (Lia's sister) I don't really feel bad for what happens in the end personally I think the bi*** had it coming to her. Grayson he just pi**ed me off at times he just needs to get his head out of his a**, "it's complicated. With Alex. She has this hold over me. This...spell. I can't get out from under it. I've tried. And I keep coming back to her. I keep wanting to." Lia just breaks my heart and makes me want to kick Grayson in the balls, "I get it," she growls. "Alex has you trapped under her spell. You can't break free. She's enchanting. She's sexy. She's not afraid of a effing thing. She's absolutely one hundred percent perfect. And that's what you want. But that's not what I am. So I hope you two are very happy together."

Dedicated Ink by Ranae Rose

As always another great book written by Ms. Ranae! Abby I loved her, and her thoughts, "hey Sam, nice to see you again. I peed on a stick less than an hour ago and guess what? I'm pregnant and you're the father! I bet you're glad you chose Hot Ink for your next tattoo, huh?" Sam he's just the perfect gentleman always worrying about his gal, "you seem like you're on edge," Sam said. She was so clearly nervous that he just couldn't pretend not to notice. "Is it something I did, or said? Or..." He's also a caring guy, "you thought I'd wait 'till my shift was over after finding out you're in the hospital?" He's also a jealous sort, "so am I. Don't even mention the possibility of this happening with you and someone else. The idea of any other man touching the mother of my children is enough to make me want to break someone's bones." Well I'm ready for the next book in the series, if there is a next one.

The Nature of Cruelty by L.H. Cosway

First thoughts of Robert is he's a total a**, "when I asked him why he did it, he said it was because he felt sorry for me and he thought I should get kissed at least once in my life." There are times when you just really want to punch him in the face, "I'm not the big bad wolf, little red. You don't have to back away from me like I'm going to bite you, you know." Lana she's grown up a lot since she last saw Robert and I must say grown some balls as well, "never would have what? Been an arsehole to me? Well forgive me if I'd rather be treated cruelly than treated like an invalid. You're overreacting here. I haven't got cancer, Robert. If I'm careful I can live as full a life as anybody else." He's also cocky, "you came really quickly," he continues with a grin. "I might be mistaken, but I think you must like me, Lana. I think you must really like me."

COVER REVEAL: Beyond Control by Karice Bolton

BLURB:
Gabby Sullivan learns in college that some things are impossible to control, and whenever life has spun out of control bad things seem to happen. She promises herself that she’ll stay a safe distance from the top three culprits:
Sex
Love
Relationships
But some things are beyond control…
Gabby handles her mom’s death and brother’s sudden abandonment just about as well as anyone could at the age of twelve. Left feeling alone, she finishes high school, developing a bit of a wild streak, and lives like there’s no tomorrow. That is until an illness stops her in her tracks. Learning to control life around her becomes her comfort. With a visible scar that reminds her and the world that she beat the odds, it’s impossible for her to put everything behind her, no matter how hard she tries.

Right out of college she begins working at her family’s company and buries herself in the safety of the corporate world. No extra time, no life, no relationships. It’s safe to say she might be a little demanding and overly ambitious. She’s got everything under control, just how she likes it. After all, life is short.

Jason’s been trying to piece his life together after a personal tragedy, only it’s not working. He’s thrown himself into his work, but he’s only becoming angrier. He’ll never forgive himself and doesn’t expect anyone else to either.

When the back of his vehicle is clipped by an obnoxious limo driver he can’t wait to let the driver have it until he hears Gabby’s voice coming from inside the sedan. There’s something soothing about it, something familiar.

The moment she sees him, she knows her life will never be the same. But she doesn’t know why. He’s everything she said she never wanted. He’s cocky, arrogant, and infuriating. With his dazzling amber eyes, dark hair and chiseled features she can hardly remember where she’s going, let alone where she’s been and maybe that’s a good thing. She begins to let him show her what life could be, if she really lived it.
Neither want their past to define their future, but sometimes destiny has something else in store. It’s only as their love grows and secrets are revealed that they realize a devastating connection from their past might actually tear them apart.

That First Kiss by J.C. Valentine

What a ride this book was wooey! Piper she's tried to be professional around cocky a** Tate who thinks he's God's gift to women, "okay, look. I think we got off on a bad foot here. Working together after, well you know, doesn't have to complicate things. I had a nice time, I'm thinking you had a nice time, and we're both adults here. I'm capable of putting the past behind me if you are. What do you say we start over?" Felix (Piper's boss and someone who is sick of Tate's S***) I loved that boy, "then my instincts must have been right. I don't know what you did to piss him off, but anything capable of drawing that kind of reaction out of him this fast tells me we're on the right track. Keep up the good work." Tate he's cocky, "I could make you remember," he growled. "I could bend you over this table right now and take you from behind. Would you like that?" He's also a sarcastic a**, "it's morning wood and if you're going to stand there molesting me with your eyes, the least you can do is take your clothes off and hop on." He's also a jealous sort, he kind of reminds me of a two year old when they don't get their own way, "and she was wearing a effing dress. She wouldn't wear one for him, but she would for the goddamned cook." He's also possessive, "what if someone walks in and sees us? I'm not sure I like the idea of anyone else seeing my woman naked and wanton." He did do things to me ladies just a lil FYI.

The Trouble with Tomboys by Linda Kage

Can I just say how much I love this cover, well the hot guy on the cover. This book is a light hearted read and it was fun to read as well B.J (yes that's her name) she's someone you can't help but fall in love with, "well, I can't, okay. Frankly, I'm worried about you. I mean, Jesus, Slim. This is not healthy. Mean have to have sex. I grew up with four guys. I know. They can't function without it. You just need to find some anonymous woman and get yourself laid, man." See she gives out great advice. Grady he's well he really had to grow on me, he was like this sissy boy who takes forever to get over s*** it kinda annoyed me really but he's also kind of possessive so I forgave him for some of his sissy-ness, "the first - and pretty much the only - declaration to enter his head was, mine." B.J. she has a great way with words and expressions, "I'm not mad," she said. "And I still want to ride you like there's no tomorrow."

Resisting Fate by Heather Van Fleet

I was so freakin' pis*ed with this book like seriously! The WRONG boy left!! And of course it's a series but once I read the Jack was a bada** and rode a Harley like a flippin' idiot I had to read the damn book even though it was gonna pi** me off! Of course if Emmy and Jack weren't idiots they would have fought for each other did they, HELL NO they didn't! Well that's okay I mean Jack he comes across as an a** in the beginning, "what? You see something you like, Strawberry? 'Cuz I can tell you right now, you are definitely not my type." He comes across as a dominant type of person, "what am I going to do with you, huh? The cussing, the stuttering, the hearing issue... and now I discover that you like to spy on private phone conversations?" He tssked. I hated being tssked, "That not good Strawberry..." He's a protective sort, "s**t, Uncle Alan, I'd say she's been through a whole hell of a lot more than a little trauma, I mean look at the bruises on her neck! Christ, I'm gonna kill the ba***** myself!" He's also cocky but you know it wouldn't be bada**ness if there wasn't cockiness involved, "you watch too many movies, Strawberry. You must feel better when I touch you. Admit it...you like my hands on your body." Sometimes I wish a certain person did die in the book and then maybe the RIGHT boy would have stayed.

Lost Boy by Tara Brown

I loved reading Eli's perspective and I loved reading how Eli and Sarah met and their past. There are some scenes in the book that are hard to read, "I hate myself. I drop the paddle and leave her unconscious body on the bed, tired and exposed. I leave her, like I did to Stuart." If you've read 'The Lonely' you see Sarah's point of view (which wasn't as raw as Eli's) Eli's is more gritty, and more in depth. I never liked Jane in 'The Lonely' and I hate the bi*** in this book as well, "I want you, Eli. I thought that was pretty straight forward and obvious. I wanted you when we met." So am I glad when Eli cuts things off with the bi***, HELL YEA, he does it so heartlessly I loved it! "Wendy, it's Eli. Cut the funding to Dr. Bradley. We are concluded and will no longer be needing her services." I even liked the ending better than I did in 'The Lonely'

Fall into my Heart by Rebecca Elise

This book was cute and I loved reading it. Chloe she is...well... she gets flustered around Jack and I found that refreshing in other books I read the gals are all bossy and confident, "I went to casually toss my notepad on the table and ended up throwing it on the floor. I looked up and the four of them sat there with huge \grins on their faces." Jack he's just a respectful rocker boy, "no you're not. Not by yourself at this time of night. I've got my truck. I'll give you a ride." Jack he knows how to clear the air with Chloe on where a situation is, "Chloe, if I was just being nice to you, we'd both be in jeans, in my flat, with a pizza and a couple pints of beer." Of course there are ups and downs, but the book has a HEA and I loved it.
