Tarnished Knight by Bec McMaster

I'm getting into the steampunk aspect of bookies, and one of my fave authors for that genre is Bec so when I saw this bookie you bet your bum I had to get it! This one is about Esme you know Blade's housekeeper and John or Rip. I had a lot of feelings in this book, first off Esme never piss her off cuz she'll put you in your place, "don't you think you can order him out of my kitchen! I want him to stay. I want you to leave." Rip needs to grow some balls and stop thinking all negatively that's what half the problem is between these two, okay that's the whole problem between them, "know when a woman's tryin' to give me the 'eave-o', Esme." He stared straight ahead. "I'd ask why, but I think it's got ought to do with what 'appened yesterday." Then there's the times when he's really really sweet and you know he cares deeply for Esme, "effin' hell," he said in a breathless, bewildered tone. "Christ, luv. Don't cry. Please don't cry. I ain't worth that." He doesn't give himself enough credit. Esme goes to desperate terms to show Rip that she cares but he's kinda to stupid to read into them, "he shifted, as if to cover himself better. "Now you want to be friends? Christ, Esme. I don't understand what's goin' on wit' you." His voice dropped. "And you could 'ave better timin'. This ain't...it ain't decent." You're a man for god sakes since when does a man care about a woman seeing him naked! It was good seeing Blade and Honoria and the rest of the gang and seeing what they've been up to.

Extreme Love by Abby Niles

Looking for a next book after reading "Walking Disaster" well this is it! Cait has a mouth on her that should be locked up she let's it get the best of her and it's so funny:
"Fitting, since I feel like I've entered the seventh layer of Hell." The words were out before she could stop them. Her skin turned to fire. Damn her mouth.
The man's eyes widened, and he sputtered a laugh. "I can honestly say I've never had a woman react that way to my name before." Amusement lit his face. "It's intriguing to say the least."
Dante learns that not every girl will go ga-ga over him, "fate sucked, man. Here sat a woman he'd actually want hanging all over him and she was being difficult as hell." He's cocky as hell as well, "I'd say this experiment has just proven that we do indeed have chemistry." A slow, wicked smile curved his lips. "Tons of it." Dang girl I'd wet my panties to where Dante is concerned, "damn, she loved it when he did the whole puffed-up defender thing - over her, of all people." Oh my Dante, "he grabbed her around the waist and crushed his mouth to hers." Cait knows how to lay it on a man, "I like your kisses Dante. They make me hot. Make me think of other ways you can use your mouth to make me even hotter."

True Love Story by Willow Aster

I like how the book starts out in the present, "I want to slap him and wrap my arms and legs around him and breathe his air -" and then goes to the past where they first met, I like books like that I really do, "he's staring down into my eyes. The way he looks at me, I feel exposed, raw, awake..." I like Sparrow she over packs books, like me haha, "oh wait, I've packed a half dozen books." Sparrow is one to speak her mind, "look. I can't handle the little innuendos in front of my parents today. I'm not sure I can when it's just the two of us, but my 'little bird' heart REALLY can't take it in front of them. If you want to be with us today, behave." I get Sparrow's frustration I'd be pee-peed off as well, if Ian pulled this crap with me, "you invited me to come see you, Ian. We even talked specific dates and then nothing. Months go by. And not just this time, but every time, we say goodbye and I never know if I'm even going to hear from you again!" My voice is getting louder and louder with every sentence. "Just when I think 'it really is over this time', you pop back up and everything's just hunky-dory? I don't get it!" I'm so mad I want to cry. I take a deep breath instead. "You told me you thought you loved me. Not that I really believed it, but...how messed up is that? You say that and then leave again and I don't hear from you for months again?" Ian is pretty bada** he protects his woman, "I started hitting him and I couldn't stop. The only time I've ever gotten in a fight was in middle school. I don't do that, baby. You have to know that. You do, right?" Then he does something so stupid and I hate him, I went through the emotions that Sparrow was going through, "listen to me, I love you. I can't lose you, Sparrow. Do you hear me? I made a mistake, but I cannot lose you. I'm coming to you. Are you listening?" Um hell to the no I'm not listening it's what happens when you think with your smaller head instead of the bigger one. The ending though I liked.

Written in the Stars by Jennifer Martinez

Dang girl, makes a lot of dumba** decisions! Ugh Mack! So as usual first impressions are well great then you get to know someone and they're total crap, happened to at least two guys in this book, first up was Curtis, fell in love with him right off, "here, let me see if I can help. I love math." Yeah anyone whose better at math I automatically love them cuz well I just suck at it. He's also sweet, "when I first met you, I had a girlfriend. I'm sure you could tell that my feelings weren't skin deep. I didn't want to be your friend because I couldn't face the temptation. We broke up a couple months ago and I haven't been able to stop thinking about you. Would you like to try this? I mean you do have feeling for me too, right?" Couple months after that, that relationship went down the crapper could have up-slapped him, but Steve that a-hole needed to be shot dead on the spot! Coll though being an ex-military man he was the right one, treats Mach right, "na," he replies. "I was just trying to figure out how anyone could be stupid enough to divorce you." Not to mention he gives Mach the security and protection she didn't have from any of the other men she'd dated/married:
"Where is the little b****?" Steve jeered.
"I'm sorry sire, but I dunnae who you are talking about." I place my hands behindmy back and try to usher Mack away from the door.
"You know exactly who I'm talking about you red neck sack of s***."
"Yer have about six seconds to get off my property before I break yer face in."
That's the kind of man Mack needs to bad she wasted a lot of time on the other losers. I liked this book Jennifer always does a great job when she writes.

Restore Me by J.L. Mac

Grams is still Grams in this book and I love it, "you look like s***! I mean real s***! A big steaming pile -" Damon on the other hand I know he's been through a lot but seriously is that justified for his butt-holiness? "I don't like getting smarta** text messages from you when I'm concerned where you are." I'm not sure if that's concern or if he's just afraid of losing her. Jo on the other hand knows how to handle herself and dish it out, "you act like you hate me," I say. "This is the first time you've spoken to me and it's to reprimand me?! If you don't want me here, I can call Brian to come hang you with you and I can go to Captain's house." The jealousy from Damon has definitely stepped up a notch since 'Wreck Me', "you are most definitely not most women, Josephine, and that's why you won't be driving that piece of s*** car or hanging out with maintenance men who have no shame undressing you with their effing eyes!" The ending I liked much better then the first book as the cliffhanger was brutal but this time around not so much.

Lyon's Crew by Jordan Silver

Nothing seems to get past Colton, and it's funny how her really never misses a beat, "something on my a**?" Oh s***, kill me now, the worlds hottest man had just caught me staring at his a**." Colton doesn't hold things back the boy says what's on his mind, "the clothes, why the eff you been coming to my place looking like Broom Hilda, when you're walking around with the body of a effing bombshell. You trying to eff with my head?" He has a great way of telling Kat what his rules are, "it means you're mine, and it means when we ride you're on the back of my bike. It means when I climb into bed at night your a** better be there." He's possessive as well, "please don't tell me you're one of those chicks that don't know how your man is supposed to treat you...listen up, if you're under me, that means you belong to me, and you're my responsibility, so it's my job to look out for you...are you getting this s***, cause I'm not repeating myself,"

Damaged and the Beast by Bijou Hunter

This book was so funny I thought I was reading a comedy the attraction between Cooper and Farah is just undeniable. Cooper is just an intense character sometimes that's a bad thing and other times like now its not he has so much passion that I don't think he knows what to do with it, "why would you be safer home than with me? No one effs with me and walks away from that." He's a possessive sort, and unlike some he voices his possessiveness, "of course you do. After all, you like me and I'm possessive. If that guy touches you, I'm breaking his fingers." He's also a jealous type of guy, "I see the way you look at him. All wide-eyed horny schoolgirl. he's a loser and smells like cheap cologne. If that's what you're into, I can buy new cologne. I can also take you on discount dates and expect you to pay because I'm too poor to take care of my woman. Is that what you're looking for?" Then there's a way about him that makes Farah feel at ease in some intense situations, "don't be. My family's a mess. We're sloppy. We eat too much. Talk to loud. Fart constantly. Next to us, you're a princess." Cooper has all his focus on making Farah happy and honestly it's sweet, "screw the river. I've seen it before. You're all shiny and new and I'm going to figure you out and make you worship me." I really enjoyed this book.

Obsession: Darkness Falls by Ivory Quinn

Gabriel I liked right off he seems courteous, "it is now. Your coat was also soaked with coffee and I simply cannot allow you to return outside in a wet coat. You'll catch your death of cold. It's already been purchased, so there's little point in arguing." He seems respectful for her well being, "it's too soon." He gritted his teeth. "I have too much respect for you to do this. Just let me...calm down and then you can move and then I'm going home and we can meet again when I'm a little more under control." He's even one to replace panties, "he quietly tucked the scraps of fabric into his pocket, promising himself he'd look up the maker from the label and order replacements." He says sweet things, "oh I'll have you all right..." He murmured, leaning down to capture her with a scorching kiss that drowned her senses. "I'll have you any way you'll let me." I mean he is REALLY considerate, "you do now. If I go to town on you again, you won't be a happy bunny in the morning. Trust me." Gabriel would really give Noelle anything her heart desires, "I could care less how much the car costs. You can be insured on the whole damn garage if you want to. I'm counting to ten so I don't lay into you for being an idiot." Um... the ending I hated it I really did, I'm more of a HEA and this did not have it, ugh!

The Arrangement 6 by H.M. Ward

Good lord after the heart dropping cliffhanger of the last book you bet your a** I was ready for this bad boy. I feel for Avery (been saying that a lot in this series but it's true she's a lovable character) "nothing they say will fix this. There's an ax in my chest and I'm bleeding out." Ugh Sean no why the hell would she want to wait for you, you a**hat, "Avery, wait!" No Avery don't wait you run girl you run from that a**hat! I think Avery is FINALLY at her breaking point with her s*** that's going down and she finally loses it, "I didn't want this! This wasn't supposed to be my effing life! And you and your goddamned demons! I have my own! I can't live like this! I can't!" Marty he's like Avery's Hero this time around (I think she has a new one in each book but that's okay) "I can't let you lose sight of who you really are - that red dress and those clothes - that's not you. You're not a call girl..." THANK YOU MARTY I've been saying that for how many damn books now! Ugh Sean just when I start to come to grips with me despising you, you make me change my mind, "You are definitely worth the bother. I'll wait for you." EFFING CLIFFHANGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Suddenly Royal by Nichole Chase

Sam that girl she cracked me up, "I haven't seen bread buttered that well in a long time." I smiled at her sweetly and heard Alex chuckle. The waitress turned around and stormed away. I narrowed my eyes at Alex. "Don't take this the wrong way, but maybe you should practice telling people to leave you alone. I thought she was going to maul you." The girl speaks her mind, which I personally think Alex finds it refreshing, "you mean you prostituted yourself out to the masses? To draw them away? That was...sweet." He choked on his drink and coughed roughly. I set down my sandwich and slapped him on the back." Alex and Sam actually have this great relationship off the bat, Alex I liked right off as well, "because I'm going to kiss you and I don't want to be stabbed when I do it." He's a tad bit cocky but then again name one guy who isnt?
"I said I'd try. I didn't promise anything." Sitting back in his seat, he chuckled. "I have a feeling our friendship will have a shelf life."
                  "A shelf life?"
"You'll either end up hating me or in my bed." His eyes grew dark. "And I know which one I'd prefer."
Sam that girl I'm telling you she REALLY speaks her mind, "are you upset that you can't stomp around like a caveman and pee on my leg?" I poked his shoulder. "I'm not a tree, your Highness."  Even in the upmost of times Alex finds way to bring humor to a situation, "he brought his mouth to my ear. "Alex. My name is Alex, not God. I want to hear you say my name." This book reminds me of 'The Princess Diaries' with Anne Hathaway. I really enjoyed it I think this is one of Nichole's best bookies yet.

Relentless by Cassia Leo

Let me tell you what Adam is something else, "come on. I've already tried to manslaughter you once tonight. I promise I won't try again for at least another twelve hours. You're safe now." I really just love him, he's funny, "that's what I was going for. I told the tattoo artist, 'Give me your prettiest tattoo,' and it was either this or a pink butterfly. The butterfly is on my a**." I think Adam and Claire sort of save each other and bring out the best in each other. The ending was a shocker, but I was bracing myself (as I do with most books that start out a series.) The cliffhanger well there really wasn't one I didn't think it was horrible, but I can't wait for the next book there's gonna be some competition let me tell you what.

Off Limits by Sawyer Bennett

Nix is quite the character, I fell in love with him right away, "the biggest lesson that Lyla is about to learn from post-war Nix Caldwell is that he has little patience. And when it's gone he doesn't hold back." For some reason I found that extremely sexy. Even when he's being an a** I find him sexy, "you, don't." he says in a low, husky voice. "Bring me cash. Just call me when you have the first two thousand. I expect it within thirty days or else I'll come looking for you. And trust me...you don't want that to happen." Actually I'm kind of thinking I do Nixy boy! He's so cocky as well I love it, "if you want to see more of my tattoos, you only have to ask. I'll be glad to strip down and show you everything." Emily is teaching him things about himself he didn't know he had in him, and he's teaching Emily that life doesn't always have to have rules or expectations, but it's mainly Emily teaching Nix how to find himself again she's his anchor, "normally, a girl crying will freak me out and I'll do anything to get away. But now, I kind of want to take her in my arms and hold her...to reassure her that everything is okay now." He's also bringing that protectiveness that she needs in her life. Emily just has a way about her that you can't help but love, "oh, we're compatible. Your working parts and mine were in perfect alignment just a few seconds ago."

Knotted Roots by Ruthi Knight

I'm telling you what this book is worse than a woman PMSing (in this case it's a good thing.) The book was such a damn rollercoaster, one minute everything is peachy keen and the next all hell break's loose. We all know Roxie has some issues, hell who doesn't but honestly I think her Granny went a little too far sometimes, "you're only here for three months Roxie. It's not fair to him for you to breeze in, steal his heart, and then shred it into a thousand pieces. He's already been through enough hell for the last year, so please don't make it worse." Shouldn't Granny be warning Chase off of Roxie? I'm telling you what. Now Chase, how to describe him, well I can't so we'll take a quote from the bookie, "he wore a pair of dark denim jeans that clung to his body, almost like a second skin. His plain white t-shirt was crisp and clean, free of smudges, as if it was fresh out of the package. I could tell, even from this vantage point, that he was stocky, but his body was all muscle." Sweet Lord in heaven I love me country me. This story isn't about Chase this story is about Roxy, reconnecting, finding her roots, and rediscovering family, and discovering new friends. It's a great coming of age novel, there were some steamy moments but it never went to far, Chase is the perfect gentleman. I think at some point the pressure got to Roxie or it could have been jealousy, "so that's how it is? You are quick to stick up for them, to protect them, but to hell with me? I'm your flesh and blood! Your one and only grandchild, but I guess that doesn't mean much when you have these two," I pointed my fingers between Chase and Brian. "here instead. Fine, I don't want any part of this." I think she feels left out, I mean at this point I would have left her be but Chase, being the sweet, caring country boy he is cares about her, "I just wanted to make sure you were okay. Betty can get a lil bit over protective of us sometimes." Chase has his priorities straight, "we have to stop. I refuse to 'make you a woman' out on the here on the beach."  He's also waiting until marriage that's something that you don't find everyday, "I'm a simple kind of guy, with simple morals. I won't be taking anything like that from ya until we're married." Getting ahead of yourself aren't cha Chase lol. I can't wait for the second book in this series.

Wreck Me by J.L. Mac

How to explain Damon... he's funny (sometimes in a dirty way,) "yes. Though I like the idea of you being panty-less around me, I would not deny you undergarments." He's a total a** man, "Damon smacks my a**. No doubt he is thinking the same thing I am. "Need to give Brian a raise." he mumbles to himself. I snicker inwardly. He likes my a**. Total a** man." He likes to care of what's his, "So do I, and my woman worrying about money when I have an a**-ton of it isn't something I can be proud of. I'm taking care of your finances. End of discussion." He's bossy, "you need to learn how to walk in heels. You're my woman. We will be going to parties and fundraisers all over this town. You will be expected to wear heels. Now. Put these on." He likes to surprise his woman, "It's in your hands now. Everything is being renovated and updated. You'll need to order inventory and speak with the decorator." He can be sentimental, "you're wrong, baby. You aren't losing the store. I bought it so you can manage it. If you and Sutton work out something then he will stay on the pay roll too. And as far as me? I just want you to want and need me like I want and need you." Damon has captured my heart in this bookie, although some things he did was well I didn't like them but Damon is Damon and you can't change his ways.

Off Sides by Sawyer Bennett

Danny is a feisty little thing right off the bat when we first meet her, "I'm so sorry. It's just... I saw all of you sitting here, and well, forgive my ignorance, but I'm pretty sure Ockham's Razer says that among competing theories and all things being equal, the simplest theory is probably the correct one. I saw you had already looked at the menus and put them back down. Therefore, the simplest theory is that you're ready to order..." Ryan that hunka-hunka burnin' love is oh my word, "he's wearing a gray t-shirt that's soaked in sweat and a navy pair of running shorts." When you diss his woman Ryan is all up in that, "I beat the s*** out of him until he was bleeding all over the locker room floor." Ryan is also a sweet guy especially where his woman is concerned:
                     "I'm sorry," I eventually mumble.
                     "What for?" he asks gently.
                     "For being a basket case."
He chuckles. "Well, I have heard a rumor that women are prone to fits of emotion at times."
He's also the protective sort which I find vera-vera sexy, "listen carefully, mother, because I mean this with every fiber of my being. I am choosing love. I am choosing someone who loves me unconditionally, no matter what. It's as simple as that." These factors of Ryan are why I fell in love with this book.

Between Friends by Amanda Cowen

This bookie was like was a damn rollercoaster of emotions, I mean Ben is just oo-la-la, "I love how his tight whit V-neck t-shirt clings to his muscular chest and how his five o'clock shadow is growing in perfectly on his tanned skin." See oo-la-la. With all the sexual frustration going on between Megan and Ben it's well frustrating, "f*** Megan. I can't take it anymore." When they're getting along they're perfect for one another, "his hands move up to my hips, "I want whatever you want." He kisses my cheek then adds, "But right now what I really want is to f*** you - again." Sometimes I wonder if they're relationship is just based on sex. I mean there are a few scenes when Megan's claws come out because Ben is well an a** most of the time, "You are a pig!" I shout. "At least I dated people and had boyfriends. You on the other hand can't handle more than a one-night stand. I feel sorry for any girl who has fallen victim to your sleazy cham, including myself." Ben is also a possessive sort, "holy s*** Megan you taste so good." He pants and pulls away, "Now come here. I'm gonna f*** what's mine." I mean Megan when she's pissed she's pissed, "Oh, you never wanted to hurt me?" I let out a hard bitter laugh. "You never thought about how much you were hurting me every time you slept with another one of your bimbos or whores. You never thought anything about me then." I actually really liked this book.

Bayou Legend by Janet Breakfield

Tanner that boy well he and Emily get under each other's skin, but hey it always starts out that way when you first start liking someone:
"Go away Tan. This is my spot and you know it." I hissed.
"Don't see your name on it" he replied. "Good God almighty I despised that boy" (girl we all know it's the start of something so let's not try to fool us.) I'm really excited because not only do we get to see Emily's point but we also get to see Tanner's (his is much more interesting as he's a man and well they're just more interesting.) "She was just as beautiful as I remembered. Long blonde hair, sky blue eyes and soft, tan skin. Tall and bountifully built with lips that could stop my heart in it's tracks." As I said much more interesting in his point of view, "I lay down on my bed, naked and panting with the fury that accompanied the passion. My body was still hard and aching." I like watching Tanner and Emily's story unfold it reminds me of Taylor Swift's song, 'Love Story.' "I couldn't help the attraction to him. It was primal. Almost animal." And you can tell Tanner is all man, "Emily was standing at the window completely naked. My shaft went instantly hard." Yep ALL man. Tanner and Emily have a connection and it's kind of funny how sometimes Tanner overly uses it without knowing haha, "Tan, could you please stop thinking about sex. I can't sit here and try to act civilized when your bombarding me with your sexual thoughts." I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to see more form this author.

Connected by Kim Karr

Loving the hottie on the cover!!! River I loved that boy, "with all this talk about who was staring at whom I think we forgot the basics, I'm River." River is someone who you can't help but love, "River circles the table and sits next to me. This move surprises me and makes me lose my train of thought." and he's also very distracting. He knows what to say to make a girl feel special, "Could we do the interview thing tomorrow because you're looking far too sexy for me to concentrate on anything other than you." I mean he REALLY knows what to say to make a girl feel special, "Dahlia, I want you. I want to kiss you, touch you, make you come over and over again. I've never wanted anyone as much as I want you." He's a caring guy, "baby don't cry, I promise I'll fix this for you. Everything will be alright." I'm loving the parts in River's point of view I love getting inside a mind of a man, it's much more entertaining, "that's okay. If you're late because of this dress," I say running my hands down the side of her body, "I definitely forgive you. You look so hot." He's protective (might have already said that one haha) "everything's okay now, baby. And I promise I'll never let anyone hurt you ever again." Not sure if I liked the ending, but I guess we'll find out what happens in the next book.

Playing Patience by Tabatha Vagro

Holy orgasm Zeke, "His loose fitting jeans had rips and tears in them and the sleeves in his black T-shirt were rolled up. The tattoos on his elbows melted into the ones that disappeared into the sleeves of his shirt." Megan is the type of friend I would give my two front teeth for, "What an a**hole!" Megan said once I got back in the car. "He had no right to talk to you like that. All you were doing was saying thank you. Geez, how hard would it have been to say you're welcome and politely walk away? Chet said he was a d*** to girls, but damn." Patience does have a potty mouth on her, I think Zekey boy brings it out though, "You call this teasing? Isn't teasing supposed to be fun? Nothing that comes out of your mouth is fun. You're an a**hole every time I talk to you." Zekey boy speaks his mind, "you should know, I think those cute little, gym shorts you run around in are sexy as f***." Even though Zeke doesn't want to admit it out loud or to himself you can tell he does care about Patience, "She's fine! She's freaking out because you were nowhere to be found. We thought someone ran off with you or some crazy s*** like that!" I jerked when he raised his voice at me. "Now, again I ask, did you walk all the way here from Finn's house?" I mean he's kind of possessive as well, "If I see one more f***er touch you, I'm going to lose it. You want me to go to jail again?" They have great playfulness towards one another when they're actually getting along, "you're trying to kill me, woman. Will you at least feed me before you take advantage of me again?"

Reaper's Property by Joanna Wylde

Horse is a very blunt person, I mean I think Marie hurt him more then what he's letting on, "I don't want to sleep with you," he told her grimly. I want to eff you. Sleeping, cuddling, all that other s*** is for girlfriends, and old ladies, and you're made it pretty effing clear you aren't interested in any of that." There are other times Horse does let Marie see the other side of him, sweet, caring, "I don't hate you babe," he said. "You piss me off, but I can live with that. Hell, effin' turns me on most of the time. But you don't understand all that's happening here and I can't tell you without effing things up. If this bothers you I'm sorry, but there's a good reason for it. You'll just have to trust me." He's protective, "you don't effing shoot a gun at my woman!"  When Marie and Horse finally do get their crap straightened out and worked on they are just as sweet as pie together (well with Horse he's just as sweet as he can be for being a hot biker boy) "Oh baby, you have no idea." he replied ruefully, brushing my hair and tucking behind my ear. "No idea at all. Now let me watch you shoot. Chicks with guns are hot." Marie proves herself to Horse and I think that's what finally makes him and her see eye to eye. I hope Joanna writes another book like this but using a different character from the story.

You Got Me by Mercy Amare

I liked this book didn't love it, but I liked it. Aiden that boy is something else he has his own demons just like Roxy has her own together they know how to fight them and come out on top, apart they're just well... they're sad. Let's break down the type of person Aiden is he's sweet, "hanging out with you is the highlight of my day. Is that lame?" He's considerate, "as much as I want to take you right here, I'd rather our first time not be in your car at a truck stop." He enjoys the physical aspects of Roxy's body, "I watched Roxy climb out of the pool. And yeah, I checked out her a**... And what a fine a** it was." He knows when to admit his mistakes, "I wanted to punch myself. I didn't have to make the decision. I was the one that pushed her away." He tries his damnest to make sure things get back to where they were, "...I left her a note, with coffee. Sometimes I even made paper roses for her." As I said before Roxy and Aiden were made for each other sometimes you have to get through the bad to get to the good.

While it Lasts by Abbi Glines

Sweet Mary, and Joseph, Cage loved that boy off the bat, but Eva stole the show in this book with her witty attitude, good looks, and sass, "I'm sure you do. Let me guess STD, Loser, Jackass, and Drunk just to name a few." Now Eva can dish it out, but can she take it when Cage gives it right back to her? "You don't know what fun is Eva Brooks, but baby, I could show you a world of fun if you'd loosen up just a little bit." Cage is all man as he keeps reminding Eva, "well, I was riding back here to take a swim because it's hot and I come upon you laid out here in a tiny hot pink bikini. I'm a man, sugar and I couldn't resist the view." Cage has a nipple pierced and well I'm a tats kind of girl but I could be a piercing kind of one as well (winks), "Yeah, I know. I don't figure your daddy would be real keen on me having a nipple piercing. I keep it out for the most part while I'm here. But I put it in last night and I forgot to take it out this morning." I really liked this bookie actually I like all of abbi's bookies so not to surprised I liked this one haha.

Undeniable by Madeline Sheehan

Duece he has some issues, but name one hot biker boy who doesn't, there were some things I didn't agree with and if he was my man that crap would not go over well let me tell you what. I mean his hotness possibly could make up for the stupid crap he's pulled, "Shhh," he growled into my mouth. "I got you. I f***in' got you. Just let it go, baby girl, just f***in' let it go." You could tell that Eva made Duece feel things that he hadn't felt in a long time (not just the great s** but the fact that she wanted him for him and not what he could give her.) "Not carin' that I got s*** to give you. You just wantin' me for me and not the club and not the f***in' money, just straight up wantin' me." Duece has an issue with swearing and the eff word it comes out of his mouth like a lot. I mean Eva and Duece spend a lot of time arguing but when they're not they're so sweet to each other and get along perfectly like they were made for each other:
"You're always calling my daddy an old man," she called out. "But you're almost as old as him."
"What are you tryin' to say, darlin'?"
She shrugged. "Just wondering when you're going to start needing viagra, too?"

Motorcycle Man by Kristen Ashley

Okay so Knight (yes from the Unfinished Heroes series) has some competition for the 'bada** mofo alpha' male role, Tack takes it to a whole new level peoples! I mean he was such a bada** of course he's in a motorcycle gang so you kind of expected it but what you didn't expect was how vulgar and honest he could be, "darlin', you're the greediest piece of a** I've had in my bed in a long effin' time. I got a taste for greedy, you think I'm not gonna take it?" We also know that being a bada** mofo you can be pretty protective, "do not," he said softly in a voice that seemed to slither through the room in a sinister way, "speak to Tyra like that? Do you effin' hear me?" With Tyra new to his world Tack always makes sure to let her know the rules even if it may be offensive, "all right, Tyra, I'll give you a quick lesson seein' as you drink tea, eat salads, do yoga, live in a fancy-a** house, with a fancy-a** yard, you probably don't get how this is gonna go 'cause I'm seein' you probably never effed a man like me. So I'll help you out and tell you how it's gonna go." All alpha people!

Twisted Perfection by Abbi Glines

Can't say I wasn't happy about the ending because news flash I WAS! I mean this is a two parter so normally when you think of a two parter, you think cliffhanger, but there wasn't one YAY! We learn a lot more about Wood and the first thing we learn but already knew was the fact that he has a nice backside, "he bent, over giving me an unobstructed view of his very delicious jeans tightening over an equally firm backside. I really liked this view." Oh hunny I'm sure I would too. We learn that our boy Woodsy speaks his mind no matter how vulgar it would be, he doesn't hold back, "I want to be inside you again, Della. I want to pull this sexy a** excuse for a skirt up and bury myself in the tightest va-jay-jay (can't say the other word Amazon frowned upon it) I've ever been in." Della has issues this we knew but some of the things Woods did pushed her over the edge, "no, don't. I get it. I'm an easy lay. You're about to tie yourself to a girl for the rest of your life so you used me. One more last night of fun." She let out a hard laugh. "I'm an easy target. I know that. Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials. I hope she says yes." Broke my heart it really did. I could never hate Woodsy, some of the s*** he does yes but never him, "don't be. that was hot. So effin' hot. Anytime you want to pull my hair while you're screaming my name go right ahead." He's also protective but this we also knew from Rush and Blaire's story, "come back to me, baby. No one's going to hurt you. I have you now," I reassure her holding her close to my chest. "I shouldn't have left you and I'm sorry. But I'm her now. You're okay." Not sure, but I'm thinking Rushy boy has some competition for my heart.

Law Man by Kristen Ashley

Good lord Mitch, "but what I want you to know is that I'd like you to come over but because you're shy, you gotta walk that breezeway, sweetheart. I'm tellin' you you're welcome but I made the first move, you need to make the next one. You with me here?" He's such a sweetheart. Mitch well I mean I know Mara's shy but dang boy no need to be rude, "I hope I got a little window into Mara World and this gets through because it's really effin' important," he growled, at least as angry as I was, maybe angrier. "I don't want to taste your pizza, Mara. I don't give that first eff about your pizza. Clue the eff in, sweetheart, before you wake up eighty-five years old and wonder where your life has gone." Good lord but he does know how to get me excited, "you jump outta my truck again before I've come to a complete halt, swear to God, baby, I'll turn you over me knee. You with me?" Oh yeah I'm with you. Good grief Mitch, "Jesus effin' Christ, baby you can kiss." He's sweet on his girl, "I'll go gentle, baby," he whispered against my lips. "I promise. You'll always be safe with me." Mara is protective of Mitch just as much as he is her, "...you're loud, rude, bossy, and you insult my...my..." I lost it for a second then said, "My Mitch who's a nice guy, a good guy and you don't know him enough to insult him."

Rock my Bed by Michelle Valentine

First impression of Riff, well he's certainly ballsy, "Riff smirks his eyes trail over my my body unabashedly, lingering a good while on my breasts beneath my form fitting halter-top. "Your boobs are amazing" (Riff is more vulgar but Amazon doesn't like what Riff calls ta-tas) Yep ballsy. I like being in Riff's mind his thoughts are pretty vulgar haha, "She's unbelievably sexy, has a rack I would give my left nut to get in my mouth..." Yea totally vulgar but I love it! Riff can sometimes be the sweetest guy, I guess you just need the right person to bring it out in you, "you're different, and real. If I only get one night with you, I want to feel you, every inch of you." Riff sometimes says stupid crap and putting himself down and telling Aubrey it is really just well stupid, "I'm the guy women have fun with, not the one they settle down with. I'm no good for you, Kitten. Trust me. I'm a one man heart-wrecking crew." Riff is someone who states how he feels (in some situations) "Jesus. Are you sure you want to go out. I'm sporting a half-wood just looking at you." He's possessive, "You're mine, Kitten. You said so yourself. Now it's time the world knew."

Own the Wind by Kristen Ashley

Shy didn't have to grow on me at all like some of the other men Kristen has wrote about, some things he did though I didn't like but you could always tell how much he cares for Tabby, "Baby, I want you to rant, get that s*** out, process it so you can move on and have a good night, but you're processing it while ruining our dinner. Gotta say, I prefer it when you ruin our dinner while laughin' and smilin', not rantin' and ravin'." Seriously though Shy just does things to me I mean that boy is ALL 'alpha' "...stalked the three steps that separated them snaked an arm around her waist, drove a hand into the back of her hair, and hauled her into his arms. He slammed his mouth down on hers." He's protective, "do not even think of comin' into your girls house who, by the way is my woman high of your goddamned a** and spoutin' your mouth, so so stoked on blow, your effin' whiteout," he growled. "Calm your a** down." He's upfront about what he wants, "yeah, babe, and I like it that you like the way those words taste in your mouth, but I'd like it more if you'd shut up and kiss me." Hopefully we can see Rush's story I'm really curious about him.

Breathe by Kristen Ashley

Chace had to grow on me, the first few times he and Faye interact isn't pretty, "I have and you'll know I have when I say Miz Goodknight, I do not want your concern. I don't want your listening ear. I don't want your company. What I want is for you to walk you fat a** up the trail and leave me the eff alone." I mean he's like really rude, "you, takin' a walk alone in the dark of night in a town full of bikers who like to get drunk, rowdy and laid doin' it with your ear phones in and music so loud you couldn't hear someone approach even if he was wearin' a effin' cowbell." Faye that girl may not seem to have a backbone but she really does and when she needs to be she's feisty, and she sometimes just blurts random things out which amused me, "you're beautiful, a good kisser, this is our first date, my bed is in the room, I'm nervous as all heck and I just thought I was going to die choking after spitting out gum so no, I'm not all right." Chace can be crude, at the most inconvenient times, "Faye, bein' real my d*** is still inside you," he reminded me. "This is not only s*** we can talk about. It's s*** we have to talk about." I liked this book but not as much as the others I've read by Kristen.

Sweet Dreams by Kristen Ashley

Um... Tate he had to grow on me because first impressions were not that good, especially when he's talking about Lauren to Krystal, "Jesus, Krys, maybe you wanna talk to me before you hire some sorry-a**, old, fat, suburban b**** to drag around our goddamned bar?" He started to grow on me when he buys Lauren a phone not sure why but that is a huge turn on, "you were sleepin' in the sun, babe, not goin' to the mall to get a phone. So I got you a phone." Tate is also protective but I'm pretty sure that comes with the 'alpha' territory, "I see you again, it won't be pretty. I find out she sees you again, you'll be breathin' through a effin' tube. You get me?" He's also sexy, "baby you came three times," he said softly, his mouth close to my ear. "You think I'm flyin' across four states when you're topped up and tonight I get a chance to play?" I mean when a man says that he doesn't care about his furniture you have to fall in love with him:
"You spill it on my couch, babe, just sayin'..." he stopped.
                     "What?"
His neck bent and his face got close to mine. "I really don't give a eff. My couch is s***t."
Lord he must love this woman, "You wake me, I eff you or we talk until you get back to sleep. You don't sneak outta the damned bed -"

The Curse of the Rose by J.A. Lynch

First off this bookie is DEFINITELY for older readers, no younger ones that would be a no-no because some material is naughty and I mean very naughty (winks.) Even after finishing the novella I'm not sure what I think of Batar, at times he seems sweet, "Bianka," he whispered. "You know you could never outrun me, not in a million lifetimes." Other times he's an a**, "Grabbing hold of my wrist, he bent it backwards, and I was almost sure I heard the bone snap." And he sometimes says the cruelest things I hope this isn't how he shows his affections, "You need to remember your place around here. What we do together does not carry any weight whilst we are in court. This is my territory Bianka - take care to remember that." Bianka has I think some issues from when she was made and I guess I was sort of glad when she did what she did to her maker, "You believe yourself to be something beyond anything we, your mere servants have ever encountered, yet you just became nothing more than a simpering fool, a puppet in my hands." The king was... he just needs to die, "Enough with your insolence," the King shouted as his voice echoed throughout the hall. "The guards will take you to your chamber." Like seriously rude much? Just my luck this is a mini-series people so what does that mean, nasty cliffhangers that leave you wanting to kill J.A.

Wild Man by Kristen Ashley

Oh my word Brock Lucas is something else, "no," he bit off. "I was angry with you, seein' as I effed my woman for the first effin' time, she made me a promise when my cum was still inside her and then just hours later she reneged on that promise. Now I'm here 'cause there's a goddamned for sale sign planted in your front lawn and I walk in here and see you lookin' like this so gotta say, babe, I'm not angry. I'm effin' pissed." 'Alpha' male all the way. He cares for his woman deeply I mean why else would he act the way he does, "yeah, babe, that was me throwing a chair against the wall." I like how Tess talks about Brock it really makes me smile, "I could see that Brock was a man, all man, his space was his space, his s*** was his s*** and he did not appreciate the intrusion and that intrusion signifying a trio of women taking care of a forty-five year old man." Brock is VERY protective, "Maybe you'll do me a favor and go outside for your tantrum instead of havin' it in front of my boys and my woman."

Freak of Nature by Julia Crane

I couldn't imagine being half machine, half human I mean I have trouble being all human as it is. Oh my word Lucas, "Id she still had a real heart, it surely would have skipped a beat or two." Oh sister my heart is skipping a beat or three haha. Lucas is a decent guy I think if you can look past people's or half people's faults it means your a good guy in my book, God where was he when I was in high school? "When he looked at Kaitlyn he saw a young woman not a machine." See good guy. I don't think Kate has it in her to lie, so she's always so honest, nerve racking really especially when it comes to her telling Lucas how she feels, "You make my body feel like it's revving up when I am standing still. I don't know how to describe it. I wake up looking forward to seeing you and I go to bed thinking of you." I mean when she's upset she gets upset, "As much as I hate to admit it, I can comprehend why you would think it was a good idea. But you should have asked me first. I deserve a choice. You took that away from me. You can't imagine what it's like having others make every decision for you." I really enjoyed this book, I did have my thoughts on it before I read it but it's true what they say 'never judge a book by it's cover.'

Ember X by Jessica Sorensen

Raven is something else haha, Ember should be glad to have a friend like her, "Are you just being a pain in the a** because you're here, or is your little death thing putting you in a bad mood?" Oh Asher you hunk, have such a way with words, "I know what you mean. All this," he motions at the people grinding against one another, "is an excuse for them to dry hump each other in public." Oh Asher, I think someone is flirting, "why does that surprise you? You're easy to talk to, beautiful, and you like cars." Then there's Cameron I'm telling you it's like the Vampire Diaries up in this joint, Cameron being Stefan (blonde hair that's why) and then Asher being Damon (has the dark hair look) I mean Cameron seems to know a few things I think, "the first thing you should know about me is that I hate secrets. They are pointless and request too much energy from an individual, unless the revelation of the secret brings pain to someone." Really you hate secrets but it seems like you're keeping one all to yourself Cameron that's a no no, "no, I said secrets were pointless unless they hurt someone." He picks up the pace and waves over his shoulder. "See you around, Ember." Mhmm... Asher still has my heart though, "I want to kiss you." His voice drops to a husky whisper as he leans in. "Please tell me I can kiss you...God please just say it." Someone's desperate. Who knew Asher was a naughty boy, "So do you want me to slide my hand up your thigh and put it in your wet..." I didn't like the ending, it wasn't what I expected but I still didn't like it.

Losing Me, Finding You by C.M. Stunich

This story isn't a fairytale, but name one motorcycle book that is. There were times I wanted to yell at both Amy and Austin, well mainly Austin. I loved being inside BOTH their heads, yes people we have duo point of views through out the book. How to explain Austin... um... yea there are no words for that boy, "let me take care of you baby. Whatever it is that's bothering you I'll help you forget." Let me rephrase my last statement, there are a few words I can think of, panty dropping, and protective, "honey, if you don't start talkin', I'm gonna get real worried and start breakin' faces. What the hell happened to you?" He can be crude, "tell me why I shouldn't just throw you over one of these tables and eff you?" Amy I think finds strength within herself thanks to Austin, "I just fought for you, so for now, at least, you're mine, too." Austin is changing as well, "but maybe I can make an exception for a pretty girl like you, especially one that's got the balls to tell me I'm hers." I mean Austin, I just loved him, I love all the male characters C.M writes about but Austin I think has to be my favorite, "if you want me to be exclusive," Austin whispered into my ear, grunting as he thrusts deep. "Then you're going to have to keep me satisfied, Sugar. Think you're up for it?" So in conclusion Austin and Amy meet each other at the right time of their lives and help each other figure s*** out about themselves, I liked the ending although I thought the story could go on a little bit more and ended too soon.

This Love of Mine by Amanda Bennett

Really like how the book is in both Madison's and Kayla's point of views, I like knowing what each character is going through and thinking. Madison's grandpa reminds me of mine haha, "Don't you dare sit there and lie to me boy. Your lucky I don't hop down off this horse and give your a** a good whoopin. Now pick up your darn cigarette butts and get your a** back to that house and help your grandma. Obviously you can't be trusted to take care of something so small as a latch. Now get!" Okay well maybe mine wasn't that harsh but still reminds me of mine. I really did like Madison I mean the first time (or this time when he actually remembers meeting her) you see his protectiveness come out, "..but if a man was behind this, I would kill him. She was to beautiful of a girl to be treated so poorly." Oo-la-la Madison you're built aren't cha? "Immediately my eyes were drawn his jeans that were hung low and tight in all the right areas, emphasizing his delicious a**." My eyes kept scanning up the rest of his body just as his hand slid beneath his black v-neck shirt, exposing just enough of his six pack to make my mouth water." Freakin' cliffhanger come on Amanda way to kill me!!

BOOK BLITZ: Magic School USA Easy "A" by Charlie Fey

BLURB:
Richard "Vegas" Beltran is an underachiever. That’s bad for any student, but it’s especially bad when you go to a wizardry school. Black Magic is something to be taken very seriously, but Vegas has been caught smoking “eye of newt” in the boys’ bathroom, and all of his bubbling cauldrons seem to contain ice and alcohol…

The principal, Professor Diaz, is ready to drop Vegas into a slower-paced magic class. But Vegas would rather die, Houdini-style, in a botched escape act than have to suffer through “remedial magic.” After all, Vegas only came to Absolution High, school for the “Special Sciences,” to learn a spell that would bring his girlfriend, Katherine, back from the dead.

Unfortunately, now that his tuition's been paid, he finds that resurrecting the dead is an act of Godslaughter—a forbidden form of magic—and at Absolution Academy, an illegal activity.
But “illegal” is a funny word…and one among many that Vegas doesn’t know the meaning of…

EXCERPT:

“Guardians!” A low snarl emanated from the back of his throat. “What are you doing with Guardians?”
“Stop it! Sit down!”
Morrigan wasn’t sure who she was addressing, the man or the animals. Luckily, they both obeyed her command. She stepped in between them to avoid any further confrontations. The cats took a seat on either side her legs, but their posture hardly relaxed. They still glared warily at the newcomer, even though their hisses died down to an occasional soft growl.
“Dirty, filthy beasts!” Tiarn snarled as he climbed to his feet. “I hate Guardians.”
“They’re just little cats,” Morrigan told him. “What’s the big deal?”
“Just cats! Hah!” He was standing at a careful distance, even though they had started licking their paws nonchalantly. “They are much more than simple cats! Though even those I find distasteful.”
Morrigan narrowed her eyes. “What do you mean?”
“Never mind. It does not matter.” Tiarn dismissed her question with a wave of his hand. “They are not coming with us.
 “They most certainly are coming!”
Tiarn growled again. “I beg to differ with you, Your Highness. They would only get in the way.  Possibly even get killed.”
Danu raised her head from her grooming to hiss at him again, as though she had taken that last statement as a personal threat. The strange reaction of her faithful sidekicks made Morrigan wonder again just how much Tiarn could be trusted. She also wondered why, when she wasn’t sure she could trust him, she still felt the undeniable urge to wrap her arms around his neck and kiss him.
“If they stay here alone, they’ll definitely get killed or at least sent to the pound,” Morrigan told him. “I can’t let that happen. So, they’re coming. End of story.”
Tiarn’s eyes flashed dangerously, and he looked like he wanted to argue, but thought better of it. “Very well, Princess. Bring your mongrel felines. Just keep in mind that Guardians and lycans do not mix well.”
“Lycans?” Morrigan repeated.
A sick feeling started to settle in her stomach, as the truth of his words sunk in. It all started to make sense—his hairy arms and chest, his reaction to the cats, even his earlier comment about smelling her out. Her dark knight had a much darker side than she had ever seen in her dreams.
“Why yes, Your Majesty. Did you not realize? You are a witch and a sorceress. And I, your faithful traveling companion, am a lycan—a werewolf.”
